  • Ha funny how that works.

I never got into dream journaling but frequent reality checks and practicing meditation was pretty effective for me. 100% of the time when I wake up from a lucid dream I get bad sleep paralysis where I feel like I'm suffocating, so I kinda fell out of the habit.

  • All of that is sick as hell, and as a fellow home assistant user I respect all the work you must have put into the automation.

For the GameCubes tilted on display, do you run them like that? I feel like it would increase the risk of damage to the discs.

  • This is stupid for a wide variety of reasons, but one of the more interesting ones is that text is notoriously inconsistent in dreams.

A very common "reality check" to see if you're dreaming is to look at a clock or text, look away, and look back. The time/text will nearly always change.

So explain to me how they expect COMPUTER CODE to work?

  • Mostly my job. I'm in healthcare and make life or death decisions on a regular basis. Was 28 when I started and am 32 now. I very regularly have the feeling like "who allowed me to get into this position". And lately, I've started teaching which adds a whole other component.

  • I just did something similar last week. My criteria were 1) small form factor like a Chromebook, 2) not actually a Chromebook, 3) could swap out or install an m.2 SSD.

I ended up getting a harddrive-less old Latitude 3190 for 30$ off eBay, put a 256gb SSD in (had it lying around + that's the max capacity supported I think), and ended up installing fedora KDE. It's not perfect but for the price it's amazing

  • I think most people will tell you that there's no need to use a VPN with Usenet. I personally do not. However, if one was to put any of the containers behind the VPN, I think that SABnzbd would be the one to do it with.

I'm not a Usenet expert so feel free to correct me.

  • Another place where this view falls short is that a person doesn't need to have NPD to act like a narcissist on a regular basis, the same way a person can be volatile and not meet the criteria for BPD.

  • Not what I'd like. We are 4 years apart (I'm older) and through school it always seemed that we were too different of ages to really get along well. I tried to connect when we were both in college but (from my perspective) he consistently chose his frat brothers over me, and we grew further apart. Then I moved out of state for grad school and work and now I've basically just accepted it.
