It's Twitter 2.0. It's what the average person wants. It's popular because it has algorithms and all the other addictive things from corporate social media.
Mastodon and others don't have these things and are harder to get started with. Picking a server is weird and scary. After that, getting your home feed started is difficult if you don't know to just follow some hashtags.
Notepad++ is my text editor of choice as someone who just edits the occasional file. I'm not a programmer or anything, but it's nice to have those autocomplete and syntax highlighting features for config files. Helps me keep track of stuff better when editing.

Thunder and Voyager are two very popular options both available for Android and iOS. I use Thunder myself, with Voyager as my backup in case anything ever happens to Thunder the way it did with Liftoff and Raccoon.
This happens sometimes. You flashed it in a way that makes Windows not recognize the full drive. Usually happens with dd flashing or Rufus' dd flash mode. I can't remember what tool I usually use to fix my USB sticks, but there will be a way.
Also, just in case, check the computer's Secure Boot settings in case something changed that won't let the USB boot anymore.

You tried it on an old laptop before. If that or some other spare machine is still available, that would make a perfect machine to try and do everything while your battlestation is still there for things you can't figure out immediately.
