All of your efforts at self-preservation seem to disagree.

Okay but you understand what you call proper maintenance is not the average maintenance. People aren't neglecting their cars, they dont have the time to spend on it. The only people that talk about proper maintenance like you are the people who grew up with a mentor or mechanic in their life.

Having a car make 300k is a sign of privilege or exceptional design.

Hey we can all just work to be better versions of ourselves, and theres a lot of ways to make progress. Considering I'm the only vegan in my family, I likely buy more meat than you do.

Its really just important to me that people dont allow themselves to stop growing mentally and morally. Its sad when people behave like they have all the answers to everything already.

In my opinion its a direct response to the advice that this can be turned into a positive, and is just pointing out that its technically based on a deceptive principle so you should not make a habit out of it.

I think its fair to consider the situation from all involved perspectives, including the Dads friend.

Because more people want meat every year.

Its not buying it that causes the death, its that you've shown you want the meat, so the company is killing the animal to produce the meat for you to buy.

You want meat, they produce meat. You dont want meat, they stop producing meat.

To avoid abusing the sunk cost fallacy, it would be best to tell the dad that is not the correct rate, and to please reach out to their friend with the correction.

No chance of someone feeling like they might as well choose youre higher rate because they are already talking to you.

Or companies will continue to design easier to repair systems and the price will continue to drop.

It sounds like you think if ever car was "properly maintained" it would last 300k+ miles. Are we talking about average use or the top 10m? You keep mixing statistics that mean different things, and adding in anecdotes to back them up.

Everyone talks about the annoying vegan, but look at all of the rage-induced replies from the meat eaters.

I counted maybe a dozen strawmen? People really are resistant to any kind of change, even the thought of it.

If you thought they were saying noone has ever killed their own meat, you are missing the point.

I dont know why you call it your moral system, when your system apparently is that the earth is supreme, humans dont matter, therefore anything that happens is okay. Morals are a societal thing, if you dont care about society then what's the point?

Do you know how easy it is to get your b12 met with just regular vegan foods? You act like fortified foods dont exist.
