  • Well there is a wide range of experiences and perspectives.

For me personally, while theres a bunch of awful stuff going on, its not like those things didnt exist before. We have been dealing with nationalistic terrorism for at the very least since the end of the Vietnamese War.

I hate to sound all silver lining or whatever, but the reason I'm not worried is that over time, in general, it seems the majority slowly moves forward as fast as they can comfortably do so.

Objectively bad things like violent crime, unequal rights, tribalism, religion to an extent, have all declined consistently over my whole life.

And I will add that the republicans who are saying that their way of life is under attack, it absolutely is. I dont know why people expect these groups to just hear a well argued position and just decide to change their mind.

Its very rare for people to change against their local community without a strong driving factor, and a loud democrat is never going to be that.

And for the record, I dont care about Biden's problems right now because even he is changing as fast as possible given his own biases and past experiences, and the fact that the democrats lead as a party leads me to being comfortable with the VP taking over if he dies or goes senile.

In fact I'd much rather a senile Biden to any version of Trump. Ive also yet to hear anyone say that the next election cycle is going to be more of the same since. I hear about optimism for our next possible choices.

  • Get like some sort of turbine or like a dozen super loud shitty 90s PC case fans.

Would make fast and the furious more interesting for sure.

Edit: oh shit I just remembered those snowmobile arcade games with the fans, those were the best when I was a kid.

  • You are confusing paid labor by choice with forced labor under fear of solitary.

Both exist, ones less bad. People are talking about the forced labor thing though, not the "working the kitchens" for 3$ a day thing.

Edit: would help if you'd read the damn post

  • Well maybe theres other ways you can make up the difference. Smaller companies might be in lower cost of living areas. even if working from home it can be nice to live near work. I'm not too sure how all this remote work stuff has changed hiring though.

  • You are assuming that the debate invalidated Biden for everyone else just because you feel that way. You also are very confident in your prediction of Biden losing, to the point of absurdity. Somehow you can predict the future now? Go on reference the "polls"!

  • Its because they have laws they have to follow, and if they break them I can take them to court. My last employer had to send out checks to make up missed wages over 5 years recently. It happens here regularly. Companies make mistakes and people take them to court. Its only the absolutely giant ones that might even have a way around it. I wouldnt even expect any of the big tech companies to keep any of my information private though to be honest.

  • I know you are pointing out that the end result is almost always better if you keep taking shots, but keep in mind that for some, the whole process is worse than average and can be an extremely exhausting and negative experience.

  • People replying to you aren't being petty, you carry yourself in a very aggressive way and I don't think you realize it.

You made up a narrative without any evidence to back it up, people corrected you with references, but you ignore them because you've blocked any view that causes your blood pressure to rise.

People are responding to you like this because you present yourself absurdly and then defend it absurdly.

One of the few posters I honestly think is a troll, I'm just not sure if you realize it or not.

  • The video shows a "black church" filled with white people. So they either went to a mixed church (that leans white) and called it a black church, or they went to a black church and the majority of people who wanted to go hear him speak were white anyways.

So hes either a liar trying to make it look like black people like him, or black people find him so offensive they wouldnt even go to their own church to hear him speak, allowing the space to be filled with white people.

I suppose there is the possibility black people were prevented from going, and white people were purposefully placed into the crowds but im not sure who would gain from that.

  • Im not sure if you realized the source you posted has a disclaimer: "[APP NOTE: Like all "Campaign Press Releases" this document was entirely the product of a partisan political campaign. It is archived at the APP as part of the record of campaign communications. The APP has not assessed the accuracy of any claims made here either pro or con.]"

Since this release came from Trump, it shouldn't be used to add validity to Trumps claims about helping African Americans, right?

  • Why wouldn't you compare like situations? It appears you chose a rather well set-up charging station vs. a poorly setup swapping station.

I didn't picture an oil change when I imagined a battery swap station, I am not sure that should be the default or starting point.
