    Why they wouldn’t want to please previous administrations?

    Those administrations weren't targeting them.

    I think it's always about the money, plain and simple. If there is a threat to their gravy train, they will bend over backwards to keep it going. Otherwise, they don't care about you.

    It seems the vast majority of people do NOT want to allow speech they don't like, no matter the consequences. That requires too much forward thinking. Excuse me while I watch history repeat itself...

  • My understanding is that he was not "charged with terrorism", but NY has a provision where they can use terrorist-like criteria as one of the ways a person can be charged with first-degree murder instead of something lesser.

    I think it greatly depends on where you live.

    Post your location and I'm sure people will be quick to point out how overtly racist your area is, which is probably why people are too afraid to speak out.

  • Yes I think intelligence is a spectrum and that neither side is more "correct" than the other.

    I think there's good and bad ideas from both sides depending on your perspective, and we have to concede that nobody has all the answers, and that we don't know what we don't know.
