This reminds me the other day I was in my house stressed because I couldn't install Cyberpunk 2077 on Fedora (I'm new to Linux so I don't know much and I had been distro hopping).
My MIL was in the house and she saw my screen filled with open terminals, documentation, lutris, wine, everything you can imagine open because I had no idea how to solve a stupid issue.
I heard her tell my wife "wow he must be pretty busy, he must be doig something really important and it's so impressive that he can read code like that I didn't know he could do that"
All I wanted to do was to play some damn game bro...
Article 25(3)(c): For the purpose of facilitating the commission of such a crime, aids, abets or otherwise assists in its commission or its attempted commission, including providing the means for its commission
Sorry, but can someone ELI5 this one for me?
Although I (think I) speak/write English very well, it'a still not my native language and this specific article was extremely confusing for me, I don't really understand what it means
Didn't Texas say last year that they wanted to try being independent from the USA? I'm not from the US (anymore) so I'm not sure but I kind of remember that being said.
I use:
1 copy in my primary SSD on my laptop
1 copy in my secondary SSD on same laptop, which autosyncs to:
1 copy in OneDrive family plan
1 copy on an external SSD
I wouldn't be able to use more of my medication, so if I keep taking NSAIDS every day, then until I have kidney/liver failure. I don't know how long would that be.
That's of course not accounting for someone trying to murder me to get the NSAIDS they couldn't get, or someone else trying to murder me for my belongings/food. Since I have arthritis I can't really defend myself so... Yeah.
I did talk to my wife about this on one of those drunken conversations and we both agreed to just end it when we see no other way because we both need medication to live.
Honestly, I use FF as my primary on Linux, and Waterfox as my primary on Windows (just because it runs better than FF on Windows fir some reason). Vivaldi I use as a secibdary browser when:
I need to visist a website that for some stupid reason doesn't open on FF
When I'm studying or need to have several tabs open at the same time (by several I mean 100+, Vivaldi has really good tab management)
EDIT: I sent the reply without answering the question, I'm dumb. Anyways, some people like Vivaldi, some don't. If you ask in a Privacy forum (and especially Lemmy) you will find less favorable opinions of Vivaldi.
My suggestion at the end of the day is just try it out and try to make your own research on how it was created and who is in charge. As I've undestood until now (don't know if it has changed) is that the only thing proprietary about Vivaldi is the design(? Idk, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and that the CEO is not an.asshole (yet)
I think that the downvotes come from a place of not understanding what this comment tries to imply, hence not adding anything to the conversation.
For example. Someone can read this and think "Context matters, so that's why Hamas did what they did, and what they did is fine and I stand with them"
Another person could read "Context matters, it doesn't matter what Isarael did before, Hamas still did something unforgivable and Israel is still right and I stand with them"
Ultimately, at least for me, it's hard to see what you're trying to say with this comment, especially when the situation is so nuanced. At least that's how I saw it.
So what is the next step for Google? Raising YT TV to $100/month? $200/month? Raising Youtube Premium to $30/month? Google one to $200/month? Laying off employees?
I mean they gotta keep hitting that 5% growth every year, right? When does it stop? When there's nobody else at the company? When people can't afford anything anymore and go bankrupt?
When are companies gonna understand that growth for the sake of growth every year is just not feasable?
I started having lots of pains in my back and some joints specifically the sacroiliac joint when I was young (at 11yo) and went to about 15 doctors, the first 14 told me that I was either faking it or it was just growing pains.
I went to a physical therapist literally told me within 10 minutes of looking at me and asking me questions "I know exactly what you have but since I am a physical therapist only I can't diagnose it, go to [doctor that I already went to and told me it was growing pains] and tell him to make you these tests"
Turns out I had ankylosing spondylitis (a type of arthritis) but since I was 11yo nobody wanted to actually look into it because they thought I was just growing or faking it.
Wait, I do a similar one to the twist and tuck but what I do is that I twist it and then partially re-cover the remaining breads, would that put me with the twist and tuck people or an I something else?
This reminds me what I did in Best Buy once. They have (or had?) A return/exchange policy of 2 weeks, so I went to get a huge TV, but I was not sure if I really wanted it.
So I bought a Samsung 75" Smart TV, two weeks later, said I didn't like it, exchanged it for an LG, 2 weeks later, said the same thing, exchanged it for a Vizio, and so on.
I ended up temporarily owning like 5-6 different smart TVs within a little over 3 months until I decided I no longer wanted it and returned it.
Did the same thing with headsets with 7 different pairs until I got the Sony XM3. US return/exchange policies go hard simetimes.
When do you guys think they (companies/rich people/shareholders(?)) will realize that growth for the sake of growth is not viable and there will be a point of stagnation? Like... What are they gonna do, keep raising prices until nobody can b uy anything anymore?
