  • See, there it is again. The perceived notion that Max will actually drive into George because...reasons I choose to believe.

Max has proven time and time again he is his own man, he does not mimic nor represent his father's behaviors. Based on a 'hunch' and your idea that 'like father like son' is in play here, you actually just communicated you can see Max driving into George and possibly kill or harm him in the process.

Do you now see and realize what George is doing and trying to achieve? He is banking on your idea of Max being who you believe him to be.

George is more of a sneak and devious guy then many would believe. And again, if I have to take the word of George or Max, I will absolutely believe Max due to the fact that the man has always, always, told you what he thinks and how he sees the sport. George on the other hand is trying to paint a picture of himself and in doing so he comes off as untrustworthy and a bit a of a liar. I do not believe he is as honest in public as private.

  • Well, seems George is doubling down on his sneaky behavior.

    1. There was no real issue on track and only George complained
    2. I believe that George was either not paying attention or he intentionally drove the way he did to have a 'case'
    3. George acts all friendly and reasonable in public but in the stewards room he tried to screw Max over
    4. He is now banking on people believing him he was threatened by Max due to Max's perceived 'dangerous driving' and certain fans willingness to see or paint Max in a negative way

This is all a bit ridiculous tbh. And if we need to believe one or the other then I will 100% believe Max as you may not like him but there is one thing we can all agree on, Max tells you straight up what he thinks and how he behaves. George on the other hand is a character I find hard to trust as he has this certain "Je ne sais quoi" about him which makes me distrust things he says.

And lets not forget, George is the guy who caused a major incident (can happen) and went straight to the other driver and started hitting him (Bottas). So before we start banking on and believing that guy we should consider that George might not be, how shall I put this, entirely right in the head and has a tendency to behave like a lunatic.

All this because George acts like a devious child and doubles down on it. What a guy....

  • De-glaze that pan with some liquid and add to slow cooker, don't let that fond go to waste!

  • You keep mentioning it because you cannot let it go, you are triggered by certain events, like M4x winning his fourth WC. It causes you to remember a negative instead of appreciating the season and the WC win.

Pretty sad but I can understand it in a way.

  • Yeah, that AD21 one does put an extra shine on his championship streak, well done you for highlighting that.
I almost forgot but thank heavens we can count on people not forgetting that glorious, beautiful and incredibly justified moment! Thanks!

  • My advice is to stop watching it then. Nothing wrong with that, this is just not your type of sport.

  • I have a fleeting suspicion that this girl now thinks, because of her own action, she can do this to you now as well. OP, be careful what you share with her because ruining someones life is an option in her book...

  • Not partisan, I cannot vote for one or the other. There is no need to defend as I encountered no attack. I am grown up.

Your response makes little sense to me. Just warning you about what is going to happen instead of what you propose might happen under AOC.

  • Keep a close eye on that Green party, my guess is that you will see and hear nothing for 3.5 years and then they magically start bleating again in the next presidential election.

In fact, I would put money on it but the betting offices are no fools and do not take that particular bet.

  • You should worry about how the new president, congress and house will do to you so hard before you start to complain about some futuristic fantasy scenario. After the burning pain you will wish, nay pray, for an AOC run government as an alternative. Perceived AOC 'troubles' will positively feel like Aloe Vera for that burning spot where the sun don't shine. But first, the relentlessness pounding you will take for 4 years straight.

Ehm, and its not that you voted for the orange clown, did you? Perhaps you are an abstain vote? Could this be a self inflicted pain I wonder?

  • You are 100% correct. Where they do have a choice is where to practice. Leave Texas and let them figure it out by themselves. Doctors are not obligated to work in Texas so bleeding the state dry (no pun intended) of medical professionals, it is a strategy the medical field could employ if they choose to do so. Doctors and nurses leaving in droves sends a message. Stating a lack of working conditions due to state enforced measures is a very valid excuse imho.

Never going to happen, I know...

  • Well, as long as they forgo on the principle of Wabi-sabi as we do not need that mindset in space and your life depends on it.

  • Trump voters are dumb but I have to say, people voting for this woman are an unholy mix of supreme arrogance and supreme stupidity. Trump voters are right up there but I still give the edge to Jill Stein voters.

This is because of their conviction and belief that they are on the right side of the spectrum and will deny anything thrown at them to show what she is and what her purpose is. This is the arrogance and stupidity combined. Heck, the campaign spoke person even said it out loud; Jill Stein is there in the mix to prevent a Kamala win. Yet they still close their eyes and ears and vote for that russian stooge. Incredible.

  • Thanks! I think @lemonmelon explained it well. Seems I was skirting the definition by a whisker and got away with it but still failed as a joke or pun should be understandable without having to pull out a Latin dictionary 😀

  • Thanks for the extensive, informative and complete reply! Very helpful in trying to understand the nuances of the English language.

  • Question: I thought to 'transpire' could mean 'shedding moisture' and/or 'things that happened or are revealed'

English is not my first language though so there's that

  • Sweat shaming, never did I think this would transpire here…

  • Isn't it his constitutionally right to bear arms though?

    I'll get my coat..

  • "shut up about it, I'm talking"

Please cite or quote the outlet where this was recorded, I want to see proof that she said this, like literally.

If you cannot do this well then....you are a liar. Why you would do this I have no idea (but I can speculate and see red hats in my crystal ball).

  • Don't let anyone call you antisemitic

That ship of having the phrase have any meaning has sailed decades ago, at least for me. It is a sign you are on the right side of truth as this line of 'defense' is always used to cover up something morally wrong which Israel is being called out for.
