  • the FDR years are usually a good example for cases such as these, and he was president for more than 10 years.

That is a good example of a decade of non aggression by US, I would agree. One could say the isolationist policies, and reluctance to join League or World Court was a failure but that would just be splitting hairs. Having said that even the World War I had a Christmas truce. FDR years doesn't make US any less of a bully or a war profiteer.

Huh, I never knew that. Thank you for telling me.

You can look into Mississippi Land Company founded by George Washington for prospecting lands beyond the Appalachian mountains prohibited by the Proclamation.

  • George Washington was a land speculator and the Proclamation of 1763 after the French and Indian wars had prohibited westward settlements beyond the Appalachian mountains.

Capitalism is just a modern substitute for colonization without the violent means of grabbing others properties or means of sustenance. America is a colonizers dream.

always been the case and has never stopped

This is an oversimplification of history. It makes for a powerful speech but it’s pretty garbage as far as convincing anyone who doesn’t already agree with you.

Can you show a single decade in the 250 years of US when it has stopped bullying, waging war or colonizing other countries, not directly but by causing coups, killing leaders of other countries.

  • US was founded on Capitalism and is a basket case of rampant Greedy Capitalism, Slavery, War Profiteering and Bullying. It has always been the case and has never stopped. Ever since the British tried stopping George Washington from usurping American Indians' land. The lofty ideals were mere veneer.

The only thing that has changed is that there are many more players in the field and US' shortcomings as a modern society is getting apparent.

  • Absolutely if you go on killing their parents, their brithers and sisters; bomb their playgrounds, their schools. What else they are going to do except for lashing out anyone. These would be the kids vulnerable to be brainwashed into doing further horriffic things.

  • I wish it would succeed but am afraid that this would lead to a bipartisan return to McCarthyism and Red Scare at the time when Russia is acting up again. America is allergic to the medicine known as Socialism for all of its illnesses.

  • Democrats: Make sure progressives lose. Democrats lose peoples vote.

Democrats: We should pivot right to win. Democrats lose election.

Democrats: Progressive don't vote, we should pivot even mmore to the right.

All the while raking in billions of dollars from the people of the country.

  • I am not saying Biden or Democrats didn't do anything,

My point is 1$ thing was 1.1$ at the end of 2022, 1.12$ 2023 and 1.15$ at the end of 2024 when voting happened. The rise in food was much more substantial.

While at the same time, there was no growth in salary and the constant threat of being laid off.

Edit 1: People have a very limited memory and the mere perception that things are bad and wont change. It is understandable if they are uninterested in either outcome.

This is a chart showing percentage difference over 12 months of CPI for the last 20 years. Biden's presidency came with less than 1% inflation which only rise to record levels in the first 2 years. It has come down to high 2% and settled at that level.

In the last 12 months everything other than energy prices have rise by 2.4%. A 2-2.4% in prices after having 2 years of near 10% inflation.

You can see how Democrats saying that they have done good for economy and common man seems hollow.
