Doesn’t this thing just run android and Google App Store? What a waste of decent hardware.

I will never understand people who look at Susan Collins and Ted Cruz and say, “That’s who I want to vote for!”

Oh yay. More corporate consolidation. I’m sure that will bring prices down and help the environment. 🙄

The rest of us on the road didn’t sign up to be “beta testers”. I don’t want to be in a deadly accident just because this company thinks it’s ok to put dangerous unfinished software into production vehicles.

Holding security updates hostage is a sicko business strategy. I hope the EU sues them for it.

It wasn’t designed to fix anything. It was designed to deregulate, and to steal data.

It’s too difficult to block huge swaths of things you’re not interested in. Like sports, or memes, or music. You block one community and 99 more about the same subject appear in your feed.

Adding some sort of Usenet-style organization or sublemmy tagging might help.

If you’re going to burn something for energy, burn garbage like non-recyclable plastic waste.

• The ads aren’t targeted properly for one thing. I see ads for stuff that would never apply to me. Such a waste of money.
• Many of the videos already have a sponsor, so they are double-dipping.
• Also I’m not going to sit through 60 seconds of ads for a five minute video. Get real.
• And don’t lie to me about “Watch this long ad break and we won’t show you more ads during this program.”

I think Prime has the right idea of front loading the ads at the beginning of the program instead of interrupting thinks every few minutes.

I’d pay for ad-free YouTube if it didn’t cost as much as HBO. Charge $3 to $5 a month and I’d consider it. Otherwise I’ll just mute the TV, or skip the programming altogether.

Makes no sense. Am I supposed to run out and buy a new piece of equipment just to log into Reddit? 🙄

I will add that I’ve yet to find a decent tasting store brand soda or sparkling water. I have no idea why it’s so difficult for them to get the flavoring right.

There’s plenty of good used stainless flatware out there. Older stuff found at estate sales is frequently better quality and cheaper than buying new at department stores.

Apple will happy replace your device battery for around $90 to $200. It’s not like it’s impossible to do.

Just had some of the worst “store brand” honey mustard. How do you mess that up? Tasted like they watered it down by adding extra vinegar. Watery. Gross tasting. Lesson Learned.
