  • Given how strict it is, I assume your company implements some sort of certification such as ISO27001 and really stick their gun on it? So, can you like, not using your company's wifi on your phone if it's heavily monitored? Or is the cell reception poor at your office?

  • When I was a kid, me and my friends used to ravage our neighbor's coffee trees for the coolest looking sticks. Also, ripe coffee berries is kinda tasty. The neighbor was always mad, but we got away scot-free because the neighbor's nephew was in it too.

  • Interesting, so this is the latest recommendation? Which is probably why I haven't seen it in the wild yet, at least in my circles.

Which means they probably going to cash out release gTLDs for .intranet, .internal, .private, .corp, .home and .lan soon...

  • This incident made me realize not to use an admin account for my primary lemmy account in my personal instance. I setup another account for instance admin purpose (with 2FA enabled) and keep it logged out, then remove my primary account from the instance admin list.

  • According to IETF, you should only use .intranet, .internal, .private, .corp, .home or .lan for your private network ( RFC 6762 Appendix G ). Using other TLDs might cause issues in the future, especially since new gTLDs seems to show up every few months or so, which can collide with the TLD you use for your local network.

  • The model creator usually mentioned it in the readme:

You will need at least 16GB of memory to swiftly run inference with Falcon-7B.

Usually the models support CPU inference. Tremendously slow but works in a pinch.
