  • agreed

whoever was Canada's negotiator is a dumbass

as a Canadian this is just downright embarassing, there is no one sane in the world who would accept to importing low quality goods when there are better options all around

  • Just a heads up but your codeberg link returns a 404 not found

    • Edit: huh it's just the embeded link that does that, strange

besides that I really like your project, it hits all the right spots for me in terms of languages used, features being implemented, and in addition the interface also looks nice!✨

  • yup👍

plus since the mod team is spread out across multiple instances it incentivizes mods to do their best for their instance

it's a somewhat friendly competition in icing out people who toxify the environment

plus we try to help each other out since this is an ongoing FOSS project🌻

  • If it hurts, you might be using a bit too much force

firm but gentle like cleaning the smugde off your phone is how I'd recommend visualizing it

    • too aggressive and you'll destroy your screen, too soft and you'll never get that smudge off

also like the other commentors have suggested maybe a waterpick could be another option you might want to try

  • every single report by a user matters more as they're sent to every federated instance

    For example:
As a user of instance 'a' if you don't like your moderators' actions/inactions, now you can easily jump to instance 'b' which still provides you access to the previous communities that you were subbed to

due to this interconnected complex system, instance admins and moderators are more likely to take reports seriously and attempt to provide their users with the most reasonable services and logic

all of which means that bot accounts are highly scrutinized than regular users

sorry for the long explanation but I hope this helps you understand how and why🤗

  • investing in people(customers) brings slow but longterm sustainable profits (Linux for example)

profits don't bring customers, they bring investors

  • Anything piracy related that might also be (legitimately) programming related can be reposted.

Breaking laws in cases of civil disobedience (fighting authoritarianism and oppression) is a thing however breaking laws because of one's own beliefs can be seen as foolish and reckless if done so without proper reasoning and planning.

I don't imagine many people are here for piracy.
Other than the creative art of cracking, it seems antitheses to career programmers.

Piracy cases such as preservation are valid however they make the legality+morallity of this area quite murky. Like Nintendo for example is attrocious when it comes to catering and nuturing their audience so I feel no sympathy when I hear piracy occurring. But at the same time it is very much illegal in most regions.

The root of this issue is bigger than one instance.
It needs political change to make it make sense, until then we are stuck with decades old laws that don't make sense.

Unfortunately this is true. We still live in a society where major corporations just don't get why people commit piracy in the first place and most of us live in places with strict piracy laws with very real legal rammifications one which we very much can't afford now and maybe even never.

    • it sucks but the tradeoffs atm are not reasonable for anyone let alone us to take the risk
      • we'll have to see what the decision and recommendations are once we're able to consult and talk with lawyers+legal experts
  • I'd just create a separate account to talk about piracy on the instance that allows piracy-related talk.

    great point here

    • power of the fediverse🌻
  • yeeesh

if I ever do this I hope I get iced on the spot as it means that there's a level of integrity that can be verified across all federated instances

  • lmao 18 blindfolds?!

    that's pretty impressive dedication :)

  • I dunno why but the contrast of their expressions is really funny🤗

also I love both of them
    wishing lots of cuddles~♥️

  • my best educated guess is that the high rate of gas exchange incudes cell stress/minor inflamation

  • unfortunately I've got a couple of underlying health problems where a couple of bad virus mixes could take me out

unlike the average Joe, I've got to be more vigilant which sucks tbh as it's overly time consuming just cause of bad RNG :(

  • TL;DR:

Lawyer to client: "final bill of $113,484 please".

    Judge: "Why?"

    Lawyer: "chatGPT said so"

Judge: "lmao no, new bill is now half"

for reasons that included the use of ChatGPT.

    I am not a lawyer.
The judge may or may not have said lmao.

    it's like a 2min short article,

    • I'd recommend reading it just in case I got something wrong.
  • "eh we'll fix it in post"
