Sorry for the late reply!
I'm currently battling a cold that was passed on by my family so I've been phasing in and out of fever dreams for the past couple of days
I'm gonna suggest that for the fediverse here we might want to implement rules that decreases the amount of AI generated crap as it's just useless and adds garbage that most people scroll past to get the posts and content that we actually want
Huh in that case I wonder if both instance and defederation works by sort of pausing/suspending the new content updates.
Sort of like how Newpipe works is that new content could be available on your home/sub feed but won't show up unless explicitly updated (by swiping down). Although for this analogy to work, banning would be equivalent to a filter/block in Voyager although it'll only work for newer content?š¤
That's my new guess anyways, not sure if it'll help!š š¤
Itās almost like their new posts are ādefederatedā from my home instance.
That part is odd and I don't really have a good guess or assumption as to why that's happening.
The posts they make are in a federated community with my home instance. Iād bet if they replied to this comment, I wouldnāt see their reply. (assuming this comment is even visible to them).
As far as I understand the system; banned users shouldn't be able to make comments on a home instance their banned from unless something is broken or has been deliberately been changed.
Thank you for your serviceš«”š
