Speaking of hot water, a few years back I needed to replace the boiler for my home heating, and I learned that there are "indirect fired" hot water tanks that use the boiler to call for heat. I did the math and had one put in.

I love it because the tank is dead simple, very little to go wrong, no burning and rusting and blowing out the bottom seams.

And my favorite aspect is that it exercises my boiler all year round, so I know won't have nasty surprises when the winter season starts.

I've been happy with my Electrolux, I want to say it's about 8yrs old now.

Yes. I love my bidet. I got one after the stupid tp shortage. I still like toilet paper to dry off but yes, parts of me have been much happier since this change.

Whenever someone balks about the bidet I just ask them if they ever used lotion before, and then I point out that they're using poop as lotion on their butt.

My Kindle is definitely my favorite way to read anything without heavy diagrams.

I'm not saying he's wrong, he's just not credible. You can read citations from primary sources from politicians in actual news articles that are ... shockingly ... less hairbrained and more concise than this guy.

How do you push back on the narrative while not elevating it? I honestly vaguely remember hearing about this years ago and had forgotten it completely until now.

Of course it should be called out as false, but do it on the spot without making a new spotlight for it.

I guess I'm not sure the best way to clarify my point, but in general I think that it's fine to catalog all the falsehoods together and publicize that, or it's fine to combat them as needed, but going out of the way to bring one random lie to attention I think is just going to revitalize it while giving the wing nuts reign over "controlling the narrative".

I think so few reasonable people are preoccupied by this lie that it may just be detracting from more important issues to elevate it.

Biden isn't exactly my cup of tea but he's more or less reasonable on the national field. And people should understand when you elect a president (despite what Trump would tell you), you are actually electing an administration, a structure of workforce based on certain values. As long as something crazy doesn't happen that puts the speaker up there, for the most part it's those ideas that are winning the elections.

Obviously the Ukrainian Islamist Nazis are responsible for Russia ignoring national security intelligence.

There's nothing to report to the mods. I think the original commenters comment could be translated into constructive criticism to help you for next time, if you want to bother. If you don't, then there's really not much left to discuss.

I don't think I like this. But, I spent a bunch of time looking at it. I guess that means maybe I like it. I don't want to up vote it, but I will just to be safe.

Docker and docker-compose. Then learn podman after you have some experience, if you want to...

Or jump into kubernetes (or minikube) instead of podman if you want to do highly useful things.

But first, get comfortable building images with a Dockerfile, and then running them in a meaningful way, and networking them, and locking them down.
