  • Idk what kind of products you can turn a body into that can be sold (first I've heard of it), but wouldn't that even be more environmentally friendly than just cremating those parts? I say use whatever, I'm done with it, if human skin wallets or whatever are hot on the market go for it.

  • It might actually be the port is jammed up with dust on the devices you have used so it couldn't fully insert and lock in. Being that lightning is a decent sized hole lint gets in there and then when you plug the cable in you compact it all down and it eventually keeps you from fully inserting the cable but it can often still charge though sometimes it is a bit finicky. I clean my out about once a year due to this, haven't noticed in 3 years of owning a device wearing out the clippy/spring dodads.

  • Lightning has the divots in the sides of the cable and then two idk spring loaded bits that press in there on the phone side. It's insanely secure, one could argue possibly too much, but I can hang my phone from the cord and it won't fall out.

Now that's not to say USB-C is bad like it falls out or anything, just that it takes more force to disconnect a lightning cable than USB-C.

  • I got my rate to stay the same and 2 months free rent on resigning this year, and they offered me the 2 months after I already signed the renewal so that was shocking. I think my building is struggling to keep tenants.

  • Some people have clear cases and the camera part generally shows in all cases. That said I've had iPhones since the first model and never had a case. (I did break one but that was because I tripped and while I didn't drop the phone I did use my hand to break the fall and just hit the phone on the edge on the concrete)

  • I'm going to be dense as I have no knowledge in this area, but can you just put it back in the ocean? I assume with sea levels rising the ocean is getting less salty so it wouldn't be harmful as long as we spread it out/did it slowly?

  • I assume Netflix had ways to slim down the number of discs they had in the past (like once a new release is less in demand), were those all going to the landfill or did they sell them to some sort of 3rd party? (I know GameFly will sell directly to consumers, but not sure what Netflix did)

  • Is it plastic?

It’s got a metal build like Apple’s Studio Display

And while I don't think it's a steal I can't imagine paying $1,600 for a monitor without height adjustment so I consider it cheaper than Apple's. It'll probably go on sale though and be even cheaper knowing Samsung.
