You really want to hurt the USA? Tax their financial and technical services. Tax Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft, all US financial services companies, etc.

Make your own FOSS standard OS' for use on E.U. devices. Make your own clouds and make API wrappers which perfectly mimic Amazon and Microsoft cloud API's for easy migration.

That was more or less the whole premise of the Bretton Woods agreement which made the US the world hegemon by bringing peace and economic prosperity to the world. But Trump is throwing all that in the trash, so Europe will once again stand on its own two feet. And I predict that the US will lose much of its financial power to Europe who will be seen as the new bastion of stability and stable governance while the US goes full fascist.

I am a non-resident US citizen so I believe it would be more difficult for them to search and hold me without trial or legal representation. But these days anything is possible.
