Who's behind this new push to stop piracy? The NFL? It's gotta be coming from somewhere.

I used to use that but it makes it harder to find posts from smaller communities because they get less attention.

I use "Hot", it's nice.

There's no reason to use it. They're on the Fediverse, but federation doesn't work too well. It's somewhat inconsistent.

Sure they support free speech, but every free speech corner of the Fediverse runs on better software, and have more vibrant communities.

There's some sort of NFT or crypto thing but I don't think anyone uses it, I've never heard anyone praise or criticize it.

I used to be there, it's not nearly as bad as Gab or Truth Social. Very cringey, but more like QuodVerum or Brighteon than those other sites.

I don't believe that "You people are next." is a direct threat.

What do you mean by "special ability"?

No, it's not. But there's a general fear that spreading manifestos of terrorists could cause people to believe them. They did the same thing with Bin Laden's manifesto.

For the record, I oppose this, it's just that I can understand why this sort of thing is done.

I think she's guilty (you can't be making threats like that on the heels of someone actually committing an act of violence) but even that is too much time. IDEK if she deserves jail time at all. I'd rather see her get a fine and maybe a month or two of community service.

The "You people are next" line certainly adds some context to this story.

Why wouldn't they be? The glamorizing of murderers, rapists, and other criminals in biopic miniseries seems to be a growing point of discussion over the past year or so.

I would have provided a guide if I had followed one, but I learned how to use Handbrake using trial and error.

Google is easy enough to use that, generally speaking, if you know what software you want to use, you can probably find a guide on how to use it.

I love this idea. I think for now the closest thing to this would be creating a Lemmy community or a subreddit, restricting it to only yourself and posting the articles you want to share there. That would make an RSS feed that includes whatever articles you want.

Because Google isn't down.
