  • Do you see my downvotes on here? Are you sure that the votes that aren't sticking are all on lemmy.world? There are a literal fuck ton of instances now and you don't always notice which one you are responding via.

And if the imaginary numbers mean anything, I'll revert and upvote you, that wasn't a statement about your post here, they were a test to see if they stick and to help diagnose.

  • From what I can tell it's instance based. I believe some have disabled voting altogether.

For reference and testing. I'm also on sync and I'll downvote both your top post here and this comment as well as my own.

  • Luxury isn't about price point. And last I checked, you couldn't get a new tesla for 40k.

Saying that tesla is luxury is like saying that McDonald's is fine dining.

Do yourself a favor and look up the comparable pricing for the ioniqs versus tesla. Tesla has always been overpriced (from factory) for what it offered.

  • We should stop voting for people who promise to dismantle said services. We also really need to move towards a basic income setup instead of having all of the hoops and paperwork for people to prove they are eligible for whatever it is. In the USA people going on disability are always denied even if they are a paraplegic. We would spend so much less money and other resources if we just made it available to everyone with no proof of eligibility needed.

  • Get over yourself. This isn't about you, I said nothing to attack you. I said that you probably didn't know how to find food that wasn't from the usual source which is not an insult, it's a statement of fact, I didn't know about csas until my wife taught me about them.

Would you consider it an insult if I I said you probably don't know much if anything about quantum mechanics? Would I be attacking you by saying that it's sunny out? If so, you might want to talk to someone.

I'm going to add you to my block list because I don't have time for people with a combo of comprehension issues and a persecution complex.

  • True but you aren't going to find it on the store shelf and the average person isn't going to know where to buy it. You lot at completely missing my point. I'm not surprised because most people can't handle more than one thought at a time.

  • That's not how that works. It's illegal to sell unpasteurized milk, the only way to get it is to either know someone willing to risk it or to have your own cows, goats, etc.

Most of the population (including the redneck trumpers) have no clue where to get meat, dairy, produce that isn't from the grocery store or dollar general. I was in that group until I moved to what I call country'ish and met my wife who had been using csas for decades.

  • Where are you getting 40% of the population not only drinks but has easy access to nonpasteurized milk? We get stuff from local farms occasionally and all we can get is non homogenized, it's most definitely still pasteurized. And even then its still way way better than the store bought stuff.

  • Only the idiots like him. Guaranteed he doesn't fit in with the ultra wealthy, he is likely seen as a tool literally and figuratively by the people who have been able to keep and grow their generational wealth where as he lost his familial wealth multiple times over.

  • That's the difference between us. I've always found a way to get by and any work place or so called boss that wasn't worthy of my time or energy, didn't get that investment.

Maybe I was just raised different but I am more than willing to tell someone to fuck off if/when its needed, it of course starts more diplomatically than a literal middle finger but I was never afraid to escalate to an actual "fuck off, I'm out of here" when it was needed. It's one reason why I work for myself, I only have myself and my bills to answer to.

There is a growing movement towards unions and other forms of collective bargaining. If you want to keep being afraid of your own shadow, that's fine but don't you dare do others the disservice of pushing them away from taking control of their own destinies.
