Sort of an extension of the constantly growing period of adolescence. Boomers don't think Gen X and Millennials will do it right, so they hold onto power.

I wonder if agreeing to pay a bunch of tax money into the system and then hoping and praying the government would pay us back in a fair and well managed way was actually a good idea.

And then some smaller company goes, "wait a sec, you're telling me I can increase my market share a bunch if I don't raise prices? Cool, let's do that. I can make a bunch of money on volume." And then some other company does the same thing, and so on until they all do. UNLESS an input into that industry has gone up in price and they all have to raise just to stay afloat. Then we're back to talking about inflation, supply chains, and money supply instead of companies just choosing to raise prices due to greed or something.

We won't know with Harris because she's extremely unpopular regardless of her sex. Her losing anything is only evidence of how unpopular she is individually.

I don't think anyone is trying to calculate some kind of moral blame. They're identifying a scenario they don't want to happen and they're trying to prevent it. Fault doesn't matter.

I'm talking about whether people are physically capable of breaking with their party on a single issue. They obviously are.

There are places that are worse, for sure, and I'm sorry to hear that. But the average is better. Just like the existence of really hot days does not disprove climate change, really terrible events in certain places do not disprove the overall trend of things getting better.
