  • Oh hell yes.

My favorite is the biome on the sloth. This isn't even just a microbiome, we have moths and algae. You know how sloths go to ground to crap, even though it's a lot of energy and really dangerous for the sloth? Well, there's a moth that requires the sloths; Moth eggs are laid in sloth poo. Moths hatch, fly up to roost in sloth fur, carrying sloth poo. Sloth poo provides nutrients for the algae that grows on the sloth for the moths to eat. Sloth fur has notches that hold water and the nutrients for the algae to grow.

Sloth goes back down to crap, moths lay eggs, fly up...

e: oh, and I think the sloth eats the moths for protein and can eat the algae if times get tough.

  • Wait, WTF? Why can they sell that outlet? Got a link to the testing?

e: because basically you're saying that my 50A breaker isn't serving a 50A circuit for my dryer and my range. That's fucked up. I know they don't draw that much but the safety should be built in.

  • Cheap 240-volt outlets are susceptible to overheating, which can start a fire.

Citation needed. Where does one buy an outlet like this? Certainly not from the big box store.

e: lol, motherfuckers downvoting for asking for a citation because I'm incredulous that a 240V outlet can't handle what the circuit breaker can provide.

  • Jan 1995 I stayed three nights at The Manor House in Aurora, CO.

I was solo and am male, so I doubt the creeper spent much time watching me. Still, damn. It's hard to place, but I think the Panera across from Children's Hospital on Colfax is where it sat.
