Sorry, I misread your comment as saying you were in the UK. That's on me, you didn't formulate it badly.

I do think that Erdogan's reelection is worse for Turkey than Brexit is for the UK. And I think the latter is fucked up.

Still, I truly believe that a lot of people that voted against their own interest are victims of themselves and the lies they were fed. But I'm definitely too soft hearted and naive at times.

Like you said, I'm an outsider and didn't mean to imply to mandate who you should have sympathy for.

You can still have sympathy for people that didn't vote for him but are living there (so similar to remain voters living in a post-brexit UK), and even for people that voted for him based on lies.

For me (using Jerboa), it automatically opens in an external browser instead of just opening the image in app.

Other apps might not have this issue though. Not sure why OP made the remark.

Anyone burning down schools to "protect the children" should take a very hard look at themselves. I hope they catch the people responsible quickly.

I do fear that this will cause some more islamophobia here (and we already have plenty). The problem isn't religion per se, it's misinformation. People believe that this program would cause teachers to teach kids how to masturbate, which is obviously ridiculous.

Unfortunately, fake news is more common in certain groups. One of those groups is muslims. It's the same reason why vaccination rates are much lower among them.

It's a problem that runs very deeply and is a consequence of a failed integration approach.

Maybe it has the opposite effect, I'm not an expert at all.

If I had the urge to watch porn with drawn or AI generated kids, I would be worried about that though. If someone watches that without contemplating why, that's problematic. If they do it as a coping mechanism, good for them, I guess.

I won't shame anyone for their urges, how wrong they might be. You can't decide what you want.

The reason it's problematic is that they indulge their attraction to kids.
