I stream through Roku (great for plex but no way to block ads on YouTube) and the ads got so bad I paid for premium.

I hate it because I’m reinforcing their shitty business choices but it was like being bullied everyday. YouTube is all I really use for entertainment aside from plex so that’s been one silver lining.

I really love pod people. I introduced mst3k to my friends I made in college my freshman year with this and they didn’t think I was a huge weirdo! Instead they all just fell in love with trumpy.

Man, online recipe sites have gotten so bad in the last few years.

There’s like a page of text talking about the food while the page is swimming with intrusive ads or promotions. I hate it.

It’s like the worst parts of old school internet pop is ads gained sentience and a love for cooking.

It’s always a game of finding and clicking print recipe as fast as I can. That and immersive reader have helped on mobile.

I watched Marry Andrews (the musical) as a kid and now I never forget how to find the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle.

I can say that voyager was a lot of fun but I had a hard time with thing after that until lower decks. I tried enterprise, Picard and disco but I didn’t like either. I haven’t tried brave new worlds so I can’t say anything about that one.

I think it’s worth trying the new shows and seeing if any of them appeal to you. Lower decks is definitely a goofy cartoon but it has a ton of heart and feels like enterprise in a way most other shows don’t. Plus it does fan service well in a fun way.

Honestly, I think everything about lower decks slaps. It’s felt much more like Star Trek than some of the newer shows that when it came out I was hooked instantly.

I for one welcome our new metal overlords.
