On one hand, I would like the first thing Trump does when he gets back into office to be to default and lead America into years of economic downturn.
On the other hand, I don't want to live through YET another economic downturn.
On the practical side of things, their is enough Democrats and a handful of Republicans in the house and senate that will vote for anything that raises the debt limit to get it passed - the only barrier is scheduling a vote in the house. When democrats only will vote for a democratic speaker and republicans can only loose 3 votes off of a majority and recall with 1 vote, the needed vote to pass the house becomes 436-2.
Why not have one drone with a string of lights hanging off of it? Or small enough drones (under the faa weight limit) that falling drones won't hurt you?
If we were meant to bake cakes the day after the 9 month ALL-CAKE-ALL-THE-TIME-athon, they would be at least good for you. We have 4 years of turd-cakes to eat come January 20th, can't we eat something else until then?
That is the deal: We give as much attention right up to the election as we can, then we get a break! Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are meant as a cooling off period. If we were supposed to keep paying attention, the president would be put into office the next day.
Think of the average human intelligence, then realize half of them are below that.
People are saying "there is no way an AI is as smart as a human". There are a few humans i know that being as smart as them wouldn't be much of a challenge.
Propose something crazy, after the backlash, compromise on what he wanted in the first place.
Democrats and Republicans hashed out a compromise bill. Trump proposes removing all the stuff Democrats want AND removing the debt ceiling. Backlash! They remove the debt ceiling language and pass the bill with ONLY the stuff Democrats wanted removed. Trump gets want he wanted.
All the press have a field day with stories like "Republicans defy Trump! Trump negotiation power limited!"
Let the charter schools try this first. Eventually something like this will be integrated into common education, but the first attempts are guaranteed to be disasters. Let those fall on 1/4 of learning time of a small subset of Arizonian charter school students and not "all California public school students" or the like.
She could have quit and handed it off to someone else, and the trial would have started before the election. Either this was her ego, or she is secretly a Trump supporter. Either way, good riddance.
