It’s bonkers to me that people who eat “normal” meat are so opposed to eating insects. Without exception, it basically comes down to not wanting to try new things, which is often tied to conservatism and being scared of change in general.

It shouldn’t be surprising that the politicians fighting this are right wingers who are against this on a cultural level - aka being afraid of change.

Terrorism is a form of violence to achieve a goal. If you’re in favour of it you call them freedom fighters, mujahideen, guerrilla warriors or whatever else. If you want to vilify them you call them terrorists. Truth is, both are spins of a given situation, in line with the interests and/or biases of whatever person or entity is informing you.

The western world agrees that ideologically motivated violence is okay (see: our foreign policy record), but tries to act shocked when it’s ideologically motivated violence they disagree with. It’s ridiculous.

Also: Israel terrorises Palestinians. If you want to be offended at terrorism, you should be against Israel.

I get what you’re saying and I think we should be mindful where we get our news from, but then being against Israel isn’t enough to discredit their coverage, especially since they’re on the right side on history of this one - meaning they don’t need to make anything up to make Israel look bad. They would be downright stupid to lie, even if they were nothing but Qatari state propagandists.

You can mount the complete backup as a local file system, which I think would suit your needs. I’m not familiar with their various integrations either, I just backup over SFTP.

But to reassure you, I also needed a bit of trial and error with Kopia, as it’s not the easiest GUI ever to get used to. But I’ve got it running now, and I’m very happy with it. I’ve also used it to successfully restore multiple backups (to test if it worked) and they all worked.

That’s its strength and its weakness imo; the UI is not as clear as the Organic Maps’, and it feels relatively cluttered.

Also, Organic is both gratis and libre, while OsmAnd is subscription based on iOS. It is a one time purchase on Android though, but that still means the full app isn’t gratis.

I swear we’ll do anything but actually try to consume a bit less. It’d be cool if we’d find some magic solution, but all of this feels like trying a way to enable our total overconsumption.

No, I’m not singling out human brains. Other animals have proven to be quite adept at problem solving as well.

LLMs, however, just haven’t. It currently just isn’t part of how they function. In some cases they can mimic actual logic very well, but that’s about it.

I am convinced LLMs can be used to handle relatively routine communication tasks, maybe even better than a human would. However, it has no underlying intelligence, and can’t come up with actual solutions based on logic and understanding.

It might come up with the right words that describe a solution, but that doesn’t mean it has actually solved the problem - it spewed out text that had a high probability of being a good response to a certain prompt. Still impressive, but not a sign of intelligence.

Linux Lite isn’t a Canonical project, as you seem to think. Also, even though I also prefer Flatpak, Snap is vastly overhated.
