  • In Chinese it's called 南北戰爭, which means South-North War. Not as interesting as the Icelandic name though

  • Why does it seem like everyone in the comment section takes flights all the time? For me, flying on an airplane is for vacations abroad only, and I maybe get 2 flights a year at most. I assume this is one of those US things I'm too Asian to understand.

  • I used to think that too, until I realized that verb conjugation in English is not decided by whether the subject is singular or plural. "You" can be both singular or plural, yet we always say "you are" and never "you is". Same for the pronoun "they". It's always "they are".

    Unless you is also willing to normalize "you is", I think "they are" is good enough.
