  • My time to shine! My wife is notoriously picky about games. You didn't specify local or online co-op but most of these have local if not online since we prefer to only need one copy.

    • Apico
    • Death Road to Canada
    • Door Kickers: Action Squad
    • Dysmantle
    • Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (some of the Lego games around this time are also fun)
    • Mother Russia Bleeds
    • Nine Parchments
    • Party Hard
    • Riptide GP: Renegade
    • Road Redemption
    • Slipstream
    • Super Mega Baseball (any of them)
    • Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia (I use the keyboard to type, she moves the character around with her controller)
    • Traveller's Rest
    • Trine
    • Unravel 1 & 2
    • Vampire Survivors
    • Wizard of Legend
  • Well, my parents divorced when I was 5 and for a while before that there were periods where my dad would leave and then come back. I'd go to his apartment every other weekend. He's a shitty dad though, so it didn't really "work."

Basically, I was told that my parents were having problems understanding each other (they explicitly said no when I asked if they were falling out of love but I can't remember exactly what they said was occurring) and it was causing everyone to be sad. So they needed time apart to think. Idk, I handled it fine (I have other childhood issues that fucked me up) but older kids almost always have trouble with it.

This doesn't need to be done alone though, there are a lot of professional and online resources for what to say to your kids and what to do now. Also friends and family to talk to, if that's not too uncomfortable.

  • Look at you, changing my mind with your logicking ways. I think information should be free anyway, but I thought media companies were being at least remotely genuine about the impact here. Forgot that lobbyists be lobbying and that Google wouldn't have let them win if it didn't benefit them.

  • It's possible that a trial separation might give you both the space to breathe and find the right words to say. The marriage doesn't necessarily have to end (especially for insurance purposes here), but you might want to start considering whether the relationship has simply run its course.

Fostering a strong partnership based on helping your daughter navigate healthily and happily through life might benefit you more than trying to keep propping up an unhappy marriage.

Also, some couples find new ways to communicate or relate to each other again after dealing with certain issues. There's not necessarily anything stopping you from resuming the relationship later (obviously I don't know you or whether there are barriers other than the ones mentioned) when things have potentially become less strained.

  • My guy, your writing and communication skills clearly just suck if you need to keep clarifying with pretentious drivel. "It will serve you better in the long run," as if you know how anything in the real world works.

Teachers who don't respect their students' human dignity shouldn't get their contracts renewed. They're not obligated to be a swollen dickhole since that service was not requested of them. You've simply failed to recognize that as such, I suppose.

  • I'm aware, that's why I specifically phrased it as a consideration and not, like, "wow, those people are dumb and should switch to Linux immediately!"

Again, if you feel a certain way about my comment and think it said something it didn't, that's not on me.

I even said this software is a good thing for people using Windows.

  • Do you realize how disconnected from reality you sound? Kids' legal names aren't as important as you think they are. Honestly, neither are adults' legal names.

If someone comes up to you (outside of a school) and says their name is Will, do you say you're only going to call them William? If yes, wow, you are so weird. If not, why does it matter inside of a school and not outside?

  • Fuck around, find out

  • Man, ejections are no joke. I hope she's alright and learns something from this. I can imagine that maybe a seatbelt is uncomfortable on her chest, but there are ways to help that without compromising your safety.

  • I fully expect a Windows update to break this somehow. Good for this dev though and it'll be nice to have this software out there. Hopefully they don't have to fight against Microsoft's bullshit just to grow a user base.

Anyone who uses this should be considering switching to Linux though. Maybe that's the dev's long game. :b
