Do you have a source for Consumer Reports having sponsored reports or not?

Are you referring to the $375,000 grant from the Climate Imperative Foundation to sponsor a report (with disclosure) on the impact of gas stoves on indoor air quality? That's the only instance I've been able to find in my searches on the subject.

If that's what you're referring to, are you suggesting that because CR once took a single payment to sponsor an article on gas stoves, that their reviews of washing machines are biased by sponsorship, even though they disclosed the former and haven't disclosed the latter?

What do you mean? Consumer Reports ranks LG dryers as the best, so much that you the next best dryer that isn't an LG is a Samsung in 21st place.

Of CR recommended dryers, 11/11 electric dryers are LG and 20/25 gas dryers are LG.

Thanks, I've looked at all of those but they either have substandard, Microtek CPUs that are so far below adequate that the productivity hit would impact me more than the loss of physical keys (Unihertz) or have problems delivering actual phones altogether (Fxtec Pro1) or aren't really phones but more micro-laptops (Planet Computer).

I'm just looking for a nice, mid-ranged phone with a mobile keyboard. Actually I think the closest to achieving that goal is the Fairberry mod which fuses a surplus BlackBerry Q10 keyboard on to a Fairphone with a 3D-printed case, but that requires electronic assembly and soldering.

Their washing machines and dryers aren't great compared to LG, so I would be suspicious of their ACs.

There is no requirement to do so, although GMail's adoption of this non-standard seems to have popularized the practice.

I'll probably continue using chocolatey due to supporting more packages, but good to know there's a built-in package manager in Windows now.

Same thing it does for any instution that loans out hardware, e.g. employers:

• remote lockdown / wipe
• remote management of installed software
• etc.
