That might be true, but every country likely has similar language quirks for historical, cultural reasons that may seem odd or hypocritical to outsiders.

it's possible they were following AP style guidelines which suggest that.

it's a tough choice but I made a similar one. I shave my head every week or so with clippers with the smallest guard. I don't like how shiny my head is sometimes but eh, overall it saves a lot of time and money. It's not a big deal but society makes it feel like it is, especially if you're a woman

I like Bevy a lot. Should you use it in your next commercial game? That's debatable (although I'm trying to 👀). It's definitely a lot of fun to use with its ECS focus if you're wanting to just make games for fun or whatever.

don't get me wrong, I agree. Furthermore, despite the problems with apps like TikTok, I do think there's an incredible amount of amazing content created on that platform. It can be such a showcase of the creativity of the average person, it just sucks that it's pretty objectively terrible in multiple ways.

all I'm saying is if you're recording something for tiktok or Instagram, it's going to look best if it's recorded vertically

Carry a bottle of water. You can't just get water whenever you need it.

yeah, I usually travel with a collapsible water bottle like these vapur ones

1. do not check anything
2. do not put anything in the overhead storage unless it's a suitcase
3. if you're bringing a backpack, put it "upside down" under the seat in front of you. the floor is gross, don't put your backpack down and then put that grossness against your back when you get off the plane
4. if you're in the back half of the plane, be ready to volunteer to move to an exit row just in case the opportunity presents itself before the plane takes off
5. if you're scared of flying, know that the plane is shaped physically to stay in the air. Why do paper planes fly? because of their shape. Real planes are shaped waaay better.
6. only get water, no ice
7. write down where you parked or take a picture and know how you'll get back
8. have your first meal planned when you arrive at your destination

obviously it depends on your requirements but what I meant was you can't compare them at the DB level within queries.. you have to pull the data out into your application layer to use your date library.

The problem there is you effectively need to grab more data than you need to answer queries like "which record has the most recent date" or "give me all the records between the values of the result of this subquery". it can quickly become a massive bottleneck and may even prevent you from doing certain types of queries at all due to memory limitations.

do you use clumping litter? not everyone does, which can make it messy if you leave it for them to kick up the next time they go. Not to mention the smell.. if you're really leaving your cat's pee go for days at a time you might be nose blind to the smell it makes.
