  • My TV is not even smart. I use 40$ xiaomi tv stick (android 1080p). Its powered from USB port on tv and connects via wifi. Its not the fastest device, but it works just fine Edit: not sure about price anymore, seems like its more like 50$ now, but still cheap IMO

  • I would rate radarr/sonarr with 10/10 and lidar 5/10. I dont think its bad, its probably too early stage or too hard to accomplish with music what radarr/sonarr can do with movies/shows. There are many artists/albums that dont exist in lidarr database and sometimes bad imports happen with wrong tracks. Yeah, and there is no jellyseer for music. I dont use it much, but I love it

  • Not expert, but basically you should port forward wireguard port 51820 to your server, install wireguard server, create client(s) and load QR code (or config) on android/laptop and you are set. Pi hole DNS and everything else should work just like when you are on home wifi.

You can leave your CF for public access, but do you really need PF 80 and 443 if you are using CF tunnels? (I thought you dont, but I never used CF. Feels like its more safe to hve CF tunnels if you dont need to PF, but you have a middle man you have to trust)

  • Afaik there is no primary and secondary, you cant tell which one to use. Its best to have 2 piholes, but having 2nd DNS set to nextdns or something like that should be fine if you cant run 2 instances, probably not the best setup tho

  • Then your temp is fine i would say. For flat print with only few layers higher temp shouldnt be an issue.

Im bit confused honestly, dont know what you changed there. First pic looks like overextruding and 2nd pic as underextruding. Keep in mind that if your nozzle is too far from bed and you overextrude first layer can look great, but on next layers it will show up (thats how 1st pic looks to me)

  • I use Wireguard VPN with DuckDNS. No need to buy a domain, I just made a name for local use like nextcloud.rudee.com. Even though domains are not expensive (can be 10-20$ a year, but there are also free otions like rudeenextcloud.duckdns.org). You might need reversy proxy like Nginx Proxy Manager unless you want to type IP:PORT

  • I have much much cheaper anker soundcore and its working flawlessly for few years. I use it as a main speaker connected via bluetooth to my desktop PC and I also carry it when I travel to play music from phone. It does have aux and micro usb for charging. Battery is stil crazy good, lasts for more than a week.

  • No problem, hope you find the cuse. Oh broken parts...I would inspect all mechanics and obviously clean and relube

I dont think you can remove threaded rod from your motor, but im not 100%. There are motors with motor coupler connecting to threaded rod (which can be simmilar issue if you dont leave a tiny gap between motor shaft and rod).

  • Hey OP, Z threaded rods are never 100% stright (like smooth rods should be) and making these nuts loose can help against binding, so yeah it is true, but check few things before you do that:

    1. Clean threaded rods and relube with grease, also clean your smooth rods and relube with sewing oil (should be done once a month or 2)
    2. Have you added bearings on top of the treaded rods? Lot of people do that and its wrong! (Top corners are cropped out of the photo) It can overconstrain Z axis and cause binding, so remove bearings if you added them, top side of threaded rods should be free
    3. Remove threaded rods and roll them over flat surface like glass. Its easy to tell if they are bent and if they are try to strighten them a bit. Also inspect rods and nuts for any damage. Edit: your threaded rods are part of motor assembly so this step might be more difficult
    4. Remove threaded rods (or nuts) and move X gantry up and down with your hands and make sure everything is moving smoothly and also make sure nut position is aligned with Z motor axis. If its not aligned you should adjust frame (loose screws, make everything perpendicular/parallel and thighten again). Z motor axis must be parallel to smooth rods and both should be parallel to each other (check motor brackets, try loosing motor screws and align it better)

If threaded rod is bent you can loose threaded nut to avoid binding, but it would be better to replace the rod (or motor). Some level of bent rod is acceptable, but too much will cause issues like this

How long do you own this printer? Have you got it used or new? Was it printing fine before?

  • But steppers can also be servo driven if encoder is providing feedback. Right?

Im not expert, but afaik servo driven DC motor is more expensive and more complex to drive compared to stepper motor approch. I think we also need open source firmware that supports servo control (maybe it exists already Im not sure)
