I miscalculated at 9% which is $4,023. Which is within $200 of the value. Regardless though my statement still stands. 6 interest points yields almost a 50% cut in buying power. Any of the other levers can tweak it but the core of the premise remains the same.

Saw this in a news article: The monthly principal payments on a $1M note at 3% is equal to the monthly payments of a $500,000 note at 9%.

So a 6% jump in interest rate effectively halves your buying power. Of course people aren't going to sell their houses if they don't have to.

Publicly traceable and verifiable hashes of the images authenticity. Submitting a hash of the image can prove who submitted it and when and then any altering of the image would yield a different hash which you would know you're not looking at the original image.

I know Blockchain is always in search of a solution, but is this one place where it may work? Take a hash of the image and store that hash in a chain, that way you can always hash the image and see if it's been altered?

Side by side test with my headphones showed better speration of the range (including bass) and a more solid connection, especially while flying. Kept having LADC constantly try to bitrate switch on me, and when I set it on highest quality it kept cutting in and out at times. Sample size of 1 so YMMV.

You can choose to filter by language in the Lemmy ui directly. I selected English and Unspecified and it eliminated all the German, dutch and Philippine subs.

That's odd. I just went straight to the menu in Firefox and hit install, no problems and it's my default browser.

Ah Slackware, the first time that I learned software could damage hardware. It has the option to also configure hsync on your CRT monitor, and if said monitor didn't correctly validate the range it would permanently fuck it up.

Nah, just not in to martyr type "woe is me" whining. The platform is what you chose to make of it. You can contribute positively and help build a platform, or you can whine and expect things to be delivered how you want. It's really up to you.

2 is kinda the WIS vs INT debate. You may be able to memorize and recall things but not understand and act on nuances in the moment.

Do you know how much a lot of those positions make? A lot are in the $15/hour range if they're lucky. That's for a Production Assistant, others are very much in that range to. Given that numerous studies have shown that's not enough to live on depending on the state, it very much means they're struggling to survive.

Then you obviously don't know how a movie is made and who is involved. Once you have a full AI movie, you won't need any of the hands on set that definitely aren't rich... Grips, caterers, assistants, makeup, wardrobe, etc. Those aren't "pseudo-wealthy". They're working a 9-5 to make ends meet.

Can you install Firefox on iOS? If so see how it works using that for the PWA back end.
