Unfortunately the division this time is more rural/urban which would make the logistics of that nearly impossible. If you offered a time for people to move it’d also be vastly lopsided, not to mention things like house prices would crater in some places while skyrocketing in others.
From an administrator standpoint I used to hate containers at first because I was worried about having 3 different versions of a support library on a system all with separate potential vulnerabilities. However we’ve managed to shift our security posture to the left and now all containers are scanned and gated before release approval. This ensures that the devs have the flexibility they want and I have more of the peace of mind of not having to maintain the libraries anymore.
Kinda sorta…. SovCits attempt to incorrectly apply a bad interpretation of some laws in ways they think it will benefit them.
This is more in line with what it’s actually supposed to do, but it just has less teeth than a newborn baby and there’s no way that they would ever be able to have any sort of recompense or enforcement so it’s functionally useless.
People think it actually means something. Kinda like the “post this on Facebook to prevent Meta from using your post!” type things. It’s just feel good pointlessness that won’t effect anything meaningful.
I’d say yes given that Office 2024 (perpetual) and the LTSC versions have already been released. Trying to find the FAQ again where they said they reconsidered and will still release perpetual offfline versions.
Apple should put a big notification next to Advanced Protection that says “sorry, we can’t offer this in the UK because they want things to be less secure for you. Please talk to your MP about this”
Isn’t Sweden trying something stupid too?
