  • An abnormal amount of lawsuits are settled because the prosecution is pushing serious charges they might not be able to prove. Then scare people into settling by using the drawn out cost of lawsuits, long waiting times for trials(not getting out on bail until trial), etc. Since many people would rather take an average to low sentence from theft rather than risking minium sentencing from armed robbery, or would rather take a low offer from the defendant as settlement instead of waiting years for anything while spending a lot.

  • And every single one of them would either retract their signature the moment someone out of state used their medical history against them, in the same way they want to use it against others, or double down on how only they should be able to use it themselves.

  • Depending on what the country that issued the fine wants to do, what the actual problem is, and where the company operates from, it might involve breach of ICC regulations or even country-to-country agreements for business operations.

Since Norway is a part of the EEA(the European Economic Area) it might also involve blocking them from operating in member countries, which would then potentially get the EU participating as well.

  • It's no excuse, but their training is measured in weeks, not years. And it mostly consists of scaring them into thinking everyone who isn't another cop is a direct and immediate threat to their lives and must be stopped with deadly force.

They are literally taught that everyone have concealed weapons and dream of killing cops.

  • Worry

    Jump
  • Just look at the facts: These are the places where you have to preserve the life of a fetus just because you can hear a heartbeat

    Not even.

Women have been forced to carry dead fetuses, which will kill them from sepsis as it starts to decompose.

And the people who voted for it will deny it ever happening, until something similar happens to someone they know. Then they'll cry on the street corners about how unfair it is.

Remember: Scientific studies have shown that many conservatives are cold hearted and stupid, by demonstrating a clear correlation between conservative thinking/behaviour and lower than average cognitive ability and empathy. And literally every single one of them think they are a super genius and they think most people secretly share their political views.

  • In most places companies become blocked from operating in the country, and any potential assets in the country will be taken as compensation.

There might also be a lawsuit in the companies main country of operation.

  • The speed claim isn't true, it's ~150mbs being offered, and it doesn't work if the air is bit dusty or foggy.

So TL;DR: It's slower, more unstable and more expensive than already available directional "wifi" antennas that can do 10gbit over quite some distance.

  • Why do so many conservatives resort to intimidation, “death threats”, and violence to reinforce their beliefs?

    It's the conspiracy theory mindset:

They convince themselves they are geniuses because they "know" something scientists deny, and they "saw through the lies", etc.

So when somone they previously listened to speaks against the conspiracy, all they hear is someone they trusted calling them stupid. And they project their own self-hatred onto that person.

  • Storage would be key, since we have some great locations in the world to build collectors.

For example around Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela, it has a geography which means there is a lightning season which can cause 150 days straight with up 9 hours of lightning every day/night and 20-40 strikes per minute at a concentration of ~250 per square km.

  • No.

Polar bears are one of the few mammals in which "most" of them see humans purely as food. While many other large carnivores are often more careful around adult humans and don't often go for them directly, unless very hungry, desperate or with offspring.

But it is not strict rule.

On top of that, mosquitos don't eat mammals in the way you'd think of a "food chain", as they're not trying kill their target, just take a small part. The deadly diseases are for them an unintended and actually unwanted side-effect, they want us alive so we'll make more blood for them to reproduce.

  • There's no need to be mean to get banned.

Just tweet about things like Tawian being a country, tag Japanese governemental accounts while bringing up the horrors of Ishii Shiro, defend children in Palestine, etc.

  • Don't forget that creators will release a video that you might want to watch later and then change the information.

You'll see a video you want to check tomorrow but not enough to add it to the "watch later". But when you check your subscriptions the next day it's been 12+ hours and they've changed the title and thumbnail to further game the algorithm.

  • TL;DR: Brave Software has their HQ in California and they are they're stealing data and selling it and giving "rights" to other people. Lawsuits are probably already being filed by multiple companies come monday.

And it's not in an "our AI 'read' the page and is making their own", it's straight up taking entire sentences and almost entire paragraphs from places like wikipedia and selling them as original data without attribution(which is required by the license used by wikimedia/pedia)
