The trouble with killing the people who say the propaganda is you eventually end with the people who believe the propganda in charge. This was a consistent takeaway from the war on terror. If Israel were looking to prolong the war, taking out the relative moderates would probably help.

The graph is really telling. More sanction than ever and the US has maybe never seen it's enemies and nonaligned states more cooperative (atleast since the days of the USSR although that's debatable). This is probably the biggest shortcoming of the Biden admin foreign policy, the rise of BRICS and stuff like that.

ETA: biggest shortcoming strategically not morally, that would be Gaza obviously.

So in the scenario that he is the VP and they win, a democrat would be appointed to the senate, but instead of the seat being up in 2028 in a presidental general election year the seat would be up in an off election year with a democratic president (2026). I'm not sure this is wise in terms of keeping the senate.

Yeah that post war economy is gonna be hell, and this has knock on effects for years since it limits the spending that can be used to modernize the military in the future. It's hard to see how this invasion will be remembered as a move that helped Russia long term.

Well Ohio Repblicans were the ones who changed the law, they have a supermajority in OH state congress. I have a feeling going with a virtual roll call has more to do with keeping the DNC less newsworthy since it'll have a ton of protests over Palestine.

People don't know her tbh. She used to be kind of a poor public speaker, but seems to have solved that based on recent appearances. Not gonna lie she's a bit strange if you've ever heard her speak, but I don't think it'll hurt her against Trump who is an all time weirdo in American politics. Importantly she's young and fairly sharp and hasn't been around long enough to have too many skeletons in her closet.

He dropped over 2 points to Trump since the debate and I doubt more public appearances from him were gonna help especially since he already committed to another debate. He's outside the margin of error for winning any sunbelt state and losing everywhere in the rustbelt. It's not impossible that he would have won but seems pretty improbable.

Honestly the biggest problem Biden had was that all his funding dried up after the debate.
