Repping brands. Like tshirts that say Oakley or under armor on them. Why are you wearing a shirt that says under armour, but isn't the actual under armour? You paid them to advertise for them you rube

I don't wear shirts, t-shirts or other clothes with clearly visible logos or brand names, unless I got the piece for free or even am getting paid to wear it.

Exceptions are music/band gear, if I like the band, and sports gear, because it is so fucking hard to find decent sports gear without visible logos and brand names.

Any place of discourse that incorporates the term 'master race' in its name is a place I give a wide berth.

I always preferred Seagate spinning steel over Western Digital. I've had some WD drives fail horribly, unexpectedly and very prematurely on me. My PC today still has some Seagate HDDs in it that are approaching 15 years of age.

And at its essence, it says exactly the same thing as this: that you do not have to be, and cannot be shown tolerance if you do not show tolerance towards others. Because the ultimate problem is that there are too many people in this society who demand full tolerance for themselves while being completely unwilling to show tolerance for others. And they won't care whether you frame it as a moral standard or a social contract - it just gives them more ammunition for their culture wars.

So I think we can stop posting this on a daily basis now. It's not a revolutionary new finding. It's just another way of framing how society works. No more, no less.

Weird thing about music streaming in comparison to video streaming is that music streaming services are all third parties. There's little to no exclusivity in that market because the streaming services all license from the same sources. The big music publishers haven't gone and created their own streaming services, but are (more or less) happily working with Spotify, Apple Music etc.

That's simply not happening in the video streaming market.

It's not just the reasonable price part. It's the ever increasing fragmentation of the video streaming market. When it was mainly Netflix, and it had a great variety of content, it was easy. Now every major studio has its own streaming service, and it's all about exclusivity. But you can only get real variety by subscribing to several streaming services.

Religion should arguably not be a protected class either.

Optus is pretty much the only mobile provider that's viable at my place. Telstra barely gets me one bar of coverage and mobile data speeds of less than 1Mbit/s. I don't trust Vodafone's coverage map as far as I can spit against the wind, but the one time I tried Vodafone out here it was useless.

So yeah, why would anyone stay with Optus? Show me a viable alternative and I'm gone.

I wish the media would just stop letting this has-been steal oxygen. There are other people with way more relevant opinions.

Can't get this to work. Signed up to Queensland digital ID, verified my two IDs, now it asks me to sign in to the app via the TMR website. That works, then it goes back to the app, it wants me to accept the license, then it wants to sign in again. That ends in an unknown error every time.

I'd love to be able to get a usable terrestrial alternative at my place. Wonky 4G ain't it. 5G is years away, if it ever gets here. Fibre? Perish the thought.
