Sorry, it wasn't supposed to be sarcastic. As I read it I thought it was ambiguous too, but for some reason I couldn't think of a way to clarify. Somehow I forgot about the existence of tone indicators.
I've been pretty out of it due to significant physical pain. I've been using Lemmy as a way to talk to strangers I treat as friends, as a distraction I don't think too much about. I'm sorry for any confusion. I send a stranger's well wishes.
I'm genuinely happy for you that Windows works. It didn't for me, but that's alright. And sometimes an OS is just a tool, not an identity.
That's probably a cultural thing, isn't it? In diverse areas, people don't expect to understand what they hear others say, so there's no "Speak ___; we're in ___" culture.
That's an interesting take. I haven't played Cyberpunk, but now I know to stay away because I only play Destiny 2 (also a pretty lore-heavy game) for the feel and the sound effects.
I've been using Manjaro for a few days with no problems, and I have an Nvidia GPU. It works fine whether I choose open-source or proprietary GPU drivers upon booting. Does it not work for you?
I never was able to completely realize that it's the wheel that makes it intuitive --- that pulling down on the wheel makes the bottom of the wheel pull the screen up. But it makes so much sense, and it's why I use "traditional" scrolling on mouse.
Convention. I hate it too.
