  • This feels like a boomer meme. I agree with it, and I'm amused by it, but I'm also amused on somewhat of a meta level. This isn't criticism, I love it.

  • Fair. Unfortunately, I hear moderation isn't a priority of Lemmy devs.

I hope you can find your people.

  • I mean, it is the Onion.

  • It does (eventually) because it's a dark wet environment you're constantly polluting with your mouth germs.

  • Didn't happen for me (v1.15.2 on Android). That's weird. Have you tried restarting the phone entirely?

  • One of the victims described was only a few weeks away from graduating from university.

  • Got it. I learned something new today, thanks!

  • Oh dear! Do they really get any burn-in? Is there a reason why Apple phones specifically would be susceptible to this? I've never heard of the issue on any phones, though.

As a sidenote: I do notice that the position of my Android AOD design shifts slightly every time, probably to prevent any burn-in.

  • That sucks. Tech support can be so annoying sometimes. I'm dealing with it too, although in a very different area. I wish they made it at least easy to give them money.

Good luck with Jellyfin and the other things you'll be doing.

  • A metal gaming chair? I've never heard of such a thing.

  • This is a friendly reminder that while Elon Musk will probably never read this, it is virtually guaranteed that someone else on Lemmy will read this and feel bad about themself as a result. Maybe you didn't intend for it to come off as if you're pointing out a bad thing, but to me at least, it does.

  • Could someone please explain what this means to this poor lost soul?

  • I see both sides. Thank you for your service; I for one find it helpful.

  • (I can see your take. I'm not making fun of you, but) I can imagine this being a reason why Twitter got rid of titles for articles in tweets.

  • Do the comments come from only other Hypothesis users?

  • This doesn't work for everyone obviously, but I leave my blinds open at night so that the sun will wake me up. Works for me when I don't have to be anywhere before noon.

  • I have not! In fact, I'm usually the one carrying around water glasses because they're less hassle to drink from and far easier to (visibly) clean than any other vessel is. I try to limit myself to two or three in the house though...

  • I used to work with the networks of a university, sometimes dealing with DMCA notices. I'm honestly surprised I didn't ever see anything super weird; it was only ever popular movies and TV shows.

What I'm trying to say is, I'm surprised the creators of the furry porn cared enough about their intellectual property to send out DMCA notices.
