  • Yeah the federation thing is a known bug. Lemmy dev's know about it and are working on a solution. :)

  • Seems to work fine now. Can you confirm?

  • How many posts should there be on your community?

It can be that that something serverside was updated and they rolled back a back-up. I just made a post in my community and it still exsists. Can you maybe try to post again?

  • Sigh, hope you had your fun.

  • We spoke about it with Ruud on Discord actually. He's fine with it. Most people understand that nothing comes for free.

Actually, it is even a nice gesture from the developer. The ones who cannot afford it can still use the app, without paying for it.

  • To show some support!

I mean, we're already browsing ad free on here and many developers are making their apps in their free time. I get that this are expensive times, but if no-one would subscribe to such apps. There would be much less developers.

  • It is in the works!

Don't know when it is going to be released. The last version of Lemmy stated the following in the patch notes:

    Revert "Add controversial ranking"

  • Thank you for posting!

Is indeed a know bug. The Lemmy dev's are working on a solution.

  • Have you uploaded the gif directly to the post?

Maybe try to upload the gif to Imgur and then copy the url?

  • As a side note, pleae keep reporting such communities! You always can open a support thread here, we as mods will pass it onto the admins. :)

  • Hi!

When exactly did it occur? Was it during the system update? Did you have the time to click on your profile to see where it redirects to?

It also seems like a Lemmy issue rather than a lemmy.world issue, since I have read also some things about it on another instance.

Would love to hear if you have the answers to the questions above. You can also submit a issue on Lemmy's GitHub to notify the developers.

  • Not as of yet. But I will inform the admins about it.

  • Indeed some developers are looking into it. Will hopefully be solved soon. It is a Lemmy-wide issue.

Best chance follow the thread on GitHub, as below is commented.

In ieder geval bedankt voor het melden. :)

  • Good point. From now on we will mention the date in the title. For future reference, you can find all posts here.

  • There is also a solution for mobile on iOS. You can filter out instances on Memmy.

Of course this has no effect on browsing on the site though.

Don't know if any Android apps have this function.

  • Why exactly do you prefer the date?

  • You're right! I will pass it on to the admins :)

  • The first one is the lemmy.world support page, the second one is lemmy.ml, the generic Lemmy support page. Is that what you mean?
