  • Correct! I myself mostly stay away from the news discussion in public. Mods should not be biased in order to do their job correctly. This is not to say that I do not follow c/World for a while. :)

  • Haha no, but I understand it seems that way!

I also moderate c/Games and some of the moderators of the big communities are in a Discord group for questions and helping each other out. Since moderating a community about world news is not a easy task with all the (strong) different opintions I suggested to help since this is not a one-man job.

In order to become mod, you have to reply to a thread so the other moderators can assign you. Hence why I did that.

Hopefully it is a bit more clear now. :)

  • Yes! You can use Voyager through m.lemmy.world. Then go to Settings and add it to your home screen. The desktop version does not support mark read on scroll yet.

  • Have you tried clearing your browser cache? And have you selected the right supported language for the community?

  • Again, thanks mate!

  • A community is a thing that evolves. It is created by the people. When there are issues within the community, you can always ask them. For example, on my community c/Games there was a discussion about memes. I simply run a poll and the community decides. Now you cannot do that for every little thing, but it is always a option.

Regarding the NSFW. There are clear rules as stated in de official rule page. These rules are site wide and the same for all mods:

Do not post about inflammatory, controversial subjects without a Content Warning. Ideally, you would not post about inflammatory subjects at all. However, it may be acceptable to do so in some cases, but it is never acceptable to post inflammatory content without hiding the content behind an appropriate Content Warning.

Do not post any type of nudity without a Content Warning.

  • Interaction is only possible when a user comments or creates a post

  • You can click on Ignore.

  • They are not working on my end neither. But the lemmy.world one does. I also see entries from minutes ago.

  • I'm not going to delete this comment as some requested, but everyone should know that G2A is not a legit website. See the top comments, gives a great explanation.

  • EU on a roll last view years. Wonder if there are going to be European models with replacable batteries and American without. You already see that kind of behaviour with Apple: end of this year you can side load apps in the EU but in America they are stuck with the app store (according to the rumors).

  • Okay. So that seems like a issue on the instance you're on. Maybe contact their support for help. :)

  • Second test to be sure.

  • Seems to work fine for me. Have you tried delete your browser cache?

  • Hey dev team! Thank you so much for the updates. Use Memmy on the daily basis.

Now that Lemmy grows, I as a mod really need to get good mod tools on mobile apps. Such as a pushnotification on new entries in modmail. I'm fully aware that you guys are busy enough but is there maybe a update on when this can/will be implemented?

For example, now I need to manual check the mobile version of the website, go to modmail and moderate from there. If there is a is a comment section with 100+ comments, it is a huge hassle to find and delete the comment.

  • I think, It needs to be for everyone, or no-one. Let's say you see the heart rate of Norris in a battle with Max, but you don't see Max's heartrate. It is not only confusing but also annoying.
