  • There's been efforts to make voting day a paid federal holiday, but alas-- that would turn the USA liberal and the powers that be cannot have that.

But their time is coming to an end and they know it, which is why they are going crazy now.

  • I'm sure some people do, but not most.

I unfortunately deal with a lot of Trumpers due to my job and they are never able to quote him or will say shit like:

    "HE NEVER SAID THAT"

And you show them a video, news articles, etc. and they say:

"THAT IS FAKE NEWS TRYING TO MAKE HIM LOOK BAD!"

And that's what I mean by nobody actually listens to him.

They listen to what Fox News, Joe Rogan, and other sycophants tell them that Trump said.

  • If my job was translating what Trump says into another language, I would just quit my job because it would give me a stroke trying to make sense of his verbal diarrhea.

Because interpreting is not just translating the words-- the words themselves often don't exist in other languages.

For example, the word "nice" does not exist in Spanish, so you have to translate what the speaker is trying to convey by contextualizing the word and matching it with words in Spanish that mean convey that same meaning.

Trump just speaks his train of thought, and that mofo is completely detached from reality.

  • I'm American but I did not grow up in the USA.

When I moved to the USA, I was like "Wow, this country is abusive and exploitative AF."

Half of Americans didn't vote for Trump. The problem is that most Americans did not even bother to vote.

American elections are tilted towards Republicans because they gerrymandered districts, made voting harder by removing voting places to create long waiting lines. You also have to take the day off work to go vote and a lot of people cannot afford to do that. They also made it illegal to give voters waiting any water. It's all fucking absurd.

Young Americans are victims of a system created to exclude them from being represented by their government.

And what is happening to Americans is happening to all other countries as well, including yours.

  • I have a disease as well, and RFK Jr wants to send me to a labor camp for it because he believes my disease is something I am choosing to have despite its painful disadvantages.

    Thus, I disagree.

We all need to dunk on him as much as possible for the disease he has that he cannot change because vicious mockery is the only thing that cows narcissists.

I mean, just look at Elon after he got bullied online playing PoE. Their own behavior turned against them is the only thing they understand.

  • I hate the moronic way in which Trump speaks. It's such a waste of everyone's time and energy.

Nobody actually listens to Trump speak because our brain cells don't recover as fast as they die off trying to make sense of what comes out of his fat mouth.

I hate it almost as much as I hate Dr. Brain Worm speak. RFK Jr always sounds like he's got the world's collective phlegm stuck in his throat when he speaks.

  • The fuck is with these comments?

If you are having difficulties parsing a situation, or deciding what the right thing to do or say is, ask yourself:

What would SpiderMan do or say?

These times call for courage to stand up for what is right, not cynicism or defeatist attitudes. And this mofo is being courageous AF-- witness him!

And you all better find the courage to do the same yourself, instead of waiting in fear hoping someone will fix things before the Nazis come for you too.

Ain't nobody coming to help. It's all up to us!

If ya don't know where to start, start by joining the protests so you can connect with other community organizing efforts. Everybody counts!

  • For anyone reading this thread, this is an example of how corporate interests tries to set us up against each other and why it is important not to fall for these tactics.

The OP clearly knows nothing about Sanders.

Sanders was born to a working-class Jewish family that lost many its members during the holocaust.

Sanders was also one of the very first prominent Jewish politicians that spoke against Israel and its treatment of Palestinians, years and years ago, when the Gaza conflict was not even hitting the news the way it is today.

Don't fall for this divisive bullshit all over again, because that's exactly how we ended up with Republicans and corporations destroying our institutions and setting back social progress.

We all care about Gaza, but we are also really busy fighting to try to regain control of our government.

  • Facts:

DXC fired ALL of their IT technicians servicing the Redmond Microsoft campus and replaced them with "Phoenix", an AI chatbot that would guide users into troubleshooting their own IT problems.

The Phoenix chatbot was immediately rejected by users and completely useless at executing its intended purpose.

DXC then scrambled to rehire the technicians they fired with no success, as they quickly moved on to new jobs. New hires struggled to understand the building layouts and room devices because there was no one to pass on that knowledge.

Soon thereafter, DXC lost their multi-million dollar contract and all the new hires who worked really hard to try to were summarily dismissed.

  • I'm always torn when I see comments like this because I agree our country needs all the shaming and rejection in order to drive the average American to act. The shaming DOES help-- it cannot be denied.

But at the same time, being working class American is so fucking brutal, and it's FAR worse when you are part of a marginalized group.

I am American but I did not grow up in the US, and it's so obvious they all have been robbed of their sense of community because we are all being constantly bombarded by fear mongering narratives meant to drive up profits.

For example, kids are expected to move out at 18 because parents are weirdly concerned that their children wil turn into lazy and unproductive members of society. In reality, life is much easier when multiple generations live in the same home because even if you get on each other's nerves, they are all at least in the same team like helping raise the children together.

Instead, they want everyone to be independent from their families because that's more people paying rent, buying cars, products and services-- same reason why Netflix doesn't want you sharing your account: so they can sell your friends and family their own to drive those profits up.

What is happening to America is happening to other countries as well. It's not a moral failing unique to Americans.

It's just that Americans already had weak public institutions as a younger nation and a very painful history full of racism, genocide, and exploitation that already was causing us great difficulty coming together to make the country a better place for everyone, and billionaires saw that as an opportunity to turn us against each other and profit from our fears.

If you don't help the good parts of America in our battle against the bad parts of America, we will lose and you will have yet another Russia making the problems in your own country worse and worse until find yourself in the exact same position as we are.

Get involved in local politics in your country now. Don't wait.

We all need to unite and fight against the worse parts of humanity. We're all so tired of capitalism and exploitation. We want better. Please help us put an end to it wherever you can.
