  • I was torn as well. eventually decided to watch because to turn away feels like a betrayal of fellow human beings. an open and raw display of human depravity. now I need to find a politically useful outlet for this rage.

  • a top-of-his-game Jon Stewart would almost certainly make musk dance to a totally foreign (and illuminating) tune.

remember this is the man who cancelled crossfire and sent tucker carlson packing.

I think jon has more than enough left in the tank (backed by facts and razer sharp witt) to out musk for what he is. this is exactly why I will be shocked if musk actually shows up.

  • The votes will once again force Senate Democrats on the record about whether they support transferring more weapons to Israel — including a slate of new senators who will be weighing in for the first time. The upper chamber of Congress has gained six new Republicans and six new Democrats since Sanders’s previous resolutions in November.

a self-selecting list of people to primary.

  • you best believe jon is willing and able to release raw video of the entire thing.

my money is on musk backing out - the same way he slunk off with his tail between his legs over the absolutely stupid "mma match" with that fool of a zuck(erberg)

  • The brothers are outspoken supporters of Donald Trump, and several members of the US president’s inner circle have spoken out publicly against their treatment, including Donald Trump Jr who described their detention as “absolute insanity”.

Elon Musk responded to a suggestion from Tate that he would “run for prime minister of the UK” by saying “he’s not wrong”, while one of Tate’s lawyers, Paul Ingrassia, is the White House liaison official for the US Department of Justice.

According to Ingrassia, the Tate brothers were “sacrificed on the altar of the Matrix under the banner of egregious crimes they never committed”. The US vice-president, JD Vance, has appeared on a pro-Tate podcast.

what the hell is this?! will someone please reboot this fucking universe! I am disgusted to be alive right now.

  • depending on specs it will be a little power hungry, but a good virtualization platform.

yes, the power supplies are likely redundant and the server will complain if they are not both powered.

it will use a VGA connection, but you should be ale to find cheap VGA monitors or cheap adapters.

RAID controllerfor those drives? how many processors and cores? how much RAM? what OS are you planning on running on it? iDRAC included? (if so, likely idrac6, but still usable)

this hardware is very well supported by linux - I have used these older servers extensively. your boss was right to be excited for you. its a great exploration platform that you will be able to do lots of things with.

fire up a live linux distro and get detailed specs on the box - that will guide what you can play with right away.

  • exactly.

While he said donors are taking calls, they are “asking harder questions, which I think is a good thing.”

my family sends in contributions to progressives doing on the ground work. every. single. month.

no need to beg for donations when its clear you are actually trying to make a difference.

  • (Or VPN and a secure DNS)

properly setup Tor covers both of those. with proper opsec (admittedly quite hard to do), disconnecting the account from an IP or locality is a legitimate part of the protection puzzle.

  • some instances do block Tor exit nodes, so if your current home instance blocks you will have issues. federation ftw; use an instance that accepts Tor exit nodes.

does anyone know of an instance offering .onion addresses?

  • I have zero special knowledge, but generic history would suggest that at least some in the officer class, regardless of political leaning, will not be down with the current trajectory.

no idea what this may look like, but my worthless analysis portends something brewing ahead and it may be wise to consider possibilities and prep accordingly. fuck these "interesting times".

  • Per Silverman’s research, Martynov was an officer in the technical espionage division of the Russian intelligence agency back in 1980, when he was sent to the United States to serve as an undercover agent at the Soviet Embassy in Washington, D.C. About two years into his stay, Martynov got flipped by the FBI and started to feed the US government Soviet secrets.

so not a planted double agent.
