Do you think millennials who grew up with the early Internet and home computers will be as bad with future technology as boomers are with current technology?

  • To be fair, some companies seem to go out of their way when redesigning their software and websites to obfuscate basic features.

    Oh, you want to change your profile picture? Obviously you go to Settings > Privacy > Verify Account > Profile Picture! It's just the most logical place to put it!

  • This is much more than just hate, though. He's saying nonsensical things, making random logical jumps, and more. He can be a bigot and have dementia, they aren't mutually exclusive.

  • One possibility I just thought of is the 24th century version of a vacuum tube system, but if that were the case I would expect them to be on key locations all over the ship (engineering, sick bay, the bridge, ready room, etc.) and I don't think there are any others shown on the ship.

  • That's actually not a bad thought. Some kind of special sample transporter is certainly a possibility. It would be easier to set up a containment field around the smaller platform.
