Honestly campaign matching funds from tax payer dollars to the tune of $8 to $1 just sounds like a bad idea. Am I missing something ? *Why in the fuck would we want to get big money in local politics?

Re read it, it’s designed to get big money OUT of local politics. Still don’t understand how this is best solution to that though.

I Learned recently that the “.” After “S” in Harry S Truman is actually unnecessary because his middle name is quite literally “S”. I’m excited to see Ranked Choice Voting gaining more traction with elected representatives. Just getting the idea out into public conversation I think bodes well.

Sounds like the medical examiners were lazy, just relying on police reports to shirk their responsibility to investigate the cause of death. Either that or just assholes with a boner for the cops. Unless they are getting kickbacks.

I'm glad that a portion of the money fined will go towards the activists actually rehabilitating/rehoming these beagles.
