  • Really? I found out about it by seeing videos on Kaotic, then when I checked youtube to see what's up all of the reports had <1M views days after airing.

Doesn't really sound like "all over the internet to me," but you seem like someone who doesn't have a grasp on how massive the internet has become.

  • Hate to break it to you buddy, but the more you study religion, the more you'll realize that they're fighting to bring their gods to life and shape the world as they see fit.

That's how they could convince people to go to war over their religion. There would be no need for war if one side believed in the 'right' god, because all the other sides would be punished by that god. But the religious interpretation of 'god' means that the outcome of the war will determine which god is 'right.'

Gods being as real as we make them is a feature, not a bug.

  • We shouldn't expect bad people to do the right thing because otherwise they wouldn't be bad people. Do you honestly believe this person didn't know what he was doing when he did it? Of course he did, he just didn't care.

I know you like living in a fantasy land, but in the real world there are plenty of horrible people that only see others as stepping stones to get what they want. It's not the world I want to live in, but I would be willfully ignorant if I did not accept it.

  • does not give anyone the right to distribute them against her wishes.

You're right, it doesn't give them the right. Did you think I was implying that it did? You might want to brush up on your reading comprehension if that's the case.

  • Addiction is extremely dangerous and you can end up wasting years of your life on something that really isn't that important to you.

It's sad how many people in my generation encourage others to become addicted to things like video games.

Games like league reward people who put more time into them while punishing those who put in less. It's particularly exploitative because it encourages us to spend as much time in the game as possible so we're as good as we can be when we're playing with our friends. It genuinely feels good to be good at the game because that transfers to wins for your team and respect from your peers.

More people playing competitive games need to realize the tricks at play to get them addicted as long as possible. I avoid games like that with other people because I know firsthand how detrimental they can be to my psyche.

I recommend playing co-op games instead. Focus on working together against the computer instead of fighting each other. That way there are challenges you can eventually beat, rather than fighting players who always put more time into the game than you.

I'm a Linux Pirate. It's possible to play co-op games online for free with programs such as Sunshine+Moonlight for streaming, emulators with netplay, and you can even play any LAN game online using something like Hamachi.

  • I agree. I recommend most people don't go overboard, but they can still do their part.

Save the things you like and are relevant to you. Movies, shows, games, music, books, etc. You don't have to be an archivist. Storing data should be something that reflects you, personally, and it should genuinely be more enjoyable as a result.

It should feel good to preserve and be responsible for another copy of the information you like.

  • Save that energy for the next election cycle and direct it towards everyone voting for the establishment candidates.

If you can convince enough of them to nominate a candidate that supports the working class (you know, I actually voted here) then you can count on seeing me at the polls in the general election.

  • She's part of the problem.

We like to believe she isn't, but she's a proud consumer just like the rest of them.

She will never fight back against the culture of consumption until it becomes cool to do so.

I can eat for literal days, having several pounds of meat, for $15. Meanwhile she feels justified in defending spending $15 on avocado toast and her useful idiots support her because they're part of the problem, too.

All democrats become conservatives when their consumerism is threatened.
