  • It's frustrating enough having to live like this in normal times. Now we've got literal Nazis dismantling our way of life (with the average American on the streets either being unaware, or simply don't care), and I'm supposed to just get up, go to work, and walk around doing shit like everything is fine.

I feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind. I'm like constantly screaming in terror on the inside these days, it's exhausting.

Suffice to say, you're not alone.

  • We know. We know that Democrats also deported people. They went after actual criminals (and I guess people who had overstayed their visa), and the people had due process.

They were not being hunted on job sites, outside of their immigration hearings (you know, "doing it the right way"), Home Depot parking lots, etc. They were not sending people to a concentration camp in a third country that the person has zero connection to.

So when people constantly feel the need to "both sides" this issue, it comes off as ignorant (at best. More likely just being disingenuous). When it's the same person again and again (according to another reply), then it starts to seem like a pattern...

It shouldn't need to be fucking said that what's happening right now is not precedented in this country. The closest thing would be Japanese internment camps, but I believe this is far worse.

  • No, we are talking about both. Go re-read the thread for context.

The original comment was comparing the DNC's behavior at the national level, with a mayoral primary with ranked choice voting in one of the bluest cities in the US.

I'm saying it's not even close to a 1:1 comparison

  • As someone who listens to his podcast regularly, he's a borderline socialist at this point, but he has blinders on when it comes to "both sides" bullshit.

It's probably because he doesn't want to alienate half of his audience, which I get. But it's super frustrating to hear because he's right there.
