  • Okay, so, Fallujah and Gaza are similar in that they are both urban warfare. That's about it. the US set up checkpoints around the city and allowed civilians to flee. In gaza, there's nowhere to go. IDF is attacking where they are telling the civilians to flee to. Red cross estimated 800 civilian casualties in Fallujah. As of 7 December, there are over 17,000 Palestinian casualties , it's estimated that 61% (about 10,000) are civilians. That leaves only 39% to be actual combatants. Remember, killing noncoms is a war crime.

Fallujah mas also much smaller. Gaza is an order of magnitude larger. Bit somehow, the IDF is managing to outpace the US forces in Fallujah in terms of displacing those civilians too. 80 percent of Gazans are displaced, around 1.7 million civilians. In Fallujah, that number was closer to 200k (about 57%)

Fallujah is one of the worst battles in the war on terror. Yet somehow even we didn't fuck it up for civilians there as bad as the IDF is doing in Gaza.

  • what about the other side of that coin? why should palestine give up? when they're being oppressed by a genocidal apartheid state, which steals their land and slaughters their people, why would they give up? They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

  • this is just what i found after a 30 second duck duck go search, the tippy top of the iceberg. you want to see how fucked the idf is, it's all right there at your fingertips. hell, you can read this article you're posting on and find evidence of them targeting UN Aid workers.

  • you're a military vet. did you skip the class on LOAC? civilian non combatants are not targets and intentionally targeting them (as the IDF is doing) is a big no-no. It's called a war crime. so is bombing anything with a big ass red cross or crescent.

  • ah yes, the old "palestinians want to kill all the jews" line, just so killing all the palestinians can be justified. do you have any sources for your claims that doesn't come directly from the propaganda machine that is the zionist state?

  • their blatant disregard for human life and human rights begs to differ. hell, there are reports that top brass of the israeli government knew about the attack on october 7 beforehand and allowed it to happen, so they could use it as justification for bombing the shit out of Gaza.

  • ah, yes, America, the shining example of how to respect human rights.

In Israel, children are abducted for something as small as throwing a rock at a hmmwv and detained without trial for decades. but tell me more about how israel is actually right.

  • why? Why shouldn't Israel just abide by international humanitarian law and stop slaughtering civilians?

  • palestinian civilians didn't do this you sick fuck. Israel has been doing the same shit to palestinian civilians for decades. Rape, infanticide, torture, kidnapping children and calling them terrorists. from what i see, you can say the same thing of israel that you are asserting of hamas.

  • "convicted terrorist" doesn't mean shit when the "convicted terrorists" are literal children.

  • so is a blockade and occupation. and Israel did it first.

  • israel doesn't care for human life though.

  • consider a character where the one disability gives rise to a heightened ability in another form. For example, someone who is blind may have a heightened sense of hearing. That could would really well in a tabletop rpg in a scenario where the character could hear something before anyone else could sense it.

  • of all the activities I would never do, this is the activity i would never do the second most. The first being caving.

  • Not if it's from the security council. Security council resolutions are legally binding, whereas GA resolutions are more like suggestions.

  • it makes me think, but just not that hard.

  • that doesn't look like anything to me.

  • never divide by zero. you could get perma banned from your calculator.

  • I think if we had a trained monkey with a typewriter, it would do a better job than trump.
