Why not use the "Install a Windows game from an executable" option in that same + menu?
Side note though, this would make games downloaded from SteamRIP easier to install under lutris for me, as they aren't installers, and I've been using bottles to generate the prefix for me.
I relate to this a lot, but am now 30 and did get re-medicated in my mid-20s. Can confidently say that it helped a lot and I highly recommend pursuing it if you're considering it.
This is only true for locomotives really. Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) often use hydraulic transmissions. Here's an example railcar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V/Line_VLocity
So Bazzite basically is an immutable 3rd-party SteamOS. It was originally designed for handhelds (though has desktop images now) and includes the Steam Deck's gamemode package. That means it has the same interface, but working on a Legion Go or an Ally X. If anyone here as any of those three you should seriously check it out!
The other thing as well is that more often than not, the update will succeed and you won't figure out until the next boot that something is wrong. However, Bazzite has a rollback tool so you can just change back to the previous image, reboot again and get to gaming.
That's the best reason for immutable for gaming IMO. I don't want to be fucking around with the OS when I'm in the mood to game. Being able to quickly rollback and jump into things in ~10 minutes or less is how it should be.
No one's defending tankies, nor saying we shouldn't call them out. The original commenter was saying liberals call all manner of leftists "tankies" when they actually aren't in order to derail them.
I guess I'm just cool enough I get invited regardless? Or I find out about events in other ways. I'm fine to miss a thing here or there because I don't give my data to Zuck tho.
Edit: Also glad I'm not on there anymore considering the whole LGBT stuff that's happened this week.
...because this fire was a consequence of climate change.
You mean that thing that's happening, that we haven't been able to stop, caused this fire to be worse? Who could have predicted this?? (/s)
I live in the state of Victoria, Australia and we have, in fact, predicted this. We have a statewide fire service, we don't cut their funding, and we have strict building codes in fire-prone areas, as well as stricter overall no matter where in the state you build.
We've studied the impacts of climate change, and prepare for the worst.
"Fuck you Microsoft, I'm moving to Linux" says the individual that would never move if they haven't already
I posted this in a comment somewhere on Lemmy about a month before I moved. It took me a while because I have a chronic illness, a disability, and the whole process takes a lot of sitting at my desk which is quite hard on my body.
Not everyone's circumstances are the same. I get the sentiment you're trying to share but cut people some slack...
I assume it isn't much of a drop though 240v to 210v ish drop.
If you had that big of a drop, it would likely have already caused the local power grid to trip and turn off. That hardware is not designed to run at a very large frequency differential from normal, and while 30v might not sound like a lot, it's still enough to massively change the Hz of the AC.
There's absolutely a point where I'm not going to mask for the sake of social niceties. I try my best to not be a jerk though, but there are so many situations where I've been called rude for not following the NT script. For example, stopping someone, saying I don't want to have a conversation right now, and walking away. Not an excuse to avoid difficult talks either, just when it's a convo about whatever random thing and I don't have the capacity to listen.
