  • As well, Bazzite is for all intents and purposes just SteamOS with support for other handhelds. It runs the exact same gamemode package that the Deck does.

  • I think in that regard, Lemmy is a forum software just like vBulletin or Discourse is. However, I would really like to see a flat forum with federation.

  • Yeah, it works with AMD as well.

  • I mean, I did read what they wrote. Remote desktop to iOS. Sending the desktop of the computer, to an iOS device. Nobody calls the home screen of a phone a "desktop".

  • I,,, don't think that's what they meant, but I could be wrong.

  • Remote desktop to iOS: Not sure this is possible even on Windows, I use remmina for remote desktop, it supports several ways of connecting to the other device so maybe see if it works for you.

What? This is absolutely possible, and it seems like OP is already doing so from Windows. Remmina is also, as far as I'm aware, a client app, not a server. I would personally recommend Sunshine, with Moonlight as the iOS client, but that's more geared towards gaming. xrdp would be my recommendation if OP is using the built in Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol currently, as that will continue to work with whichever iOS client they are already using. Otherwise, if they're using VNC currently, I would go with TightVNC as there are dozens, if not more, iOS clients.

  • The thing is, that prescription history is still saved as far as I'm aware, you just don't have access to it without a MyHealthRecord. That's, no offence, kind of the misconception a lot of folks had about MHR. All that data is collected about you either way and already had been for years.

The other thing about it people got shitty about is that when a child turns 14 their parent loses access to their MHR. However, that's just in line with the rest of our medicare rules that mean a 14yo can access healthcare privately and independently.

  • The way the form is set out, it's supposed to be hand written, with fields about the medicine, the pharmacist that dispensed it, the date, and it's cost. Instead most pharmacists will just use the copy of the prescription label that gets printed out, because that includes all the above details. Here's the form in question: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/pb240

You also have seperate forms for the actual application, which must be done by a pharmacist: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/pb241

As well as a whole form to claim a refund if you didn't get a medication for the safety net cost (either free for concession, or the reduced concession charge for general patients): https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/pb132

If the system were digitised none of these forms would need to exist. Keeping in mind that this data already is in a centralised system. I can go to myhealthrecord and see a list of all the scripts I've had filled and when. The only info it's missing is how much I've paid, as pharmacies often subsidise the rate a bit. I pay $6.90 for my scripts instead of $7.70, and the safety net is based off real cost you've paid.

Anyway, sorry for the info dump, just something I've been frustrated with since I started interacting with this system.

  • Once again, for those who came in late: Palestinians are Semites. To call supporting them "antisemitic" is Orwellian.

I mean, you don't even need to split hairs like that. I don't hate Jewish people, I hate Zionism, Israel and its government. It's really as simple as that.

  • This is so true. I use a single pharmacy, which offer to handle all of the paperwork, so I don't miss out. But if there's a shortage of something and they're out, I just miss out on that script fill by going elsewhere. I could grab a sticker from that pharmacy and take it back to mine but that's too much mental load honestly.

  • What I'm saying is that if China discovers your deception, and if they have a similar law/rule/guideline about entering China on your Chinese passport as a dual citizen, they might not take kindly to you doing so.

  • I'm just an Aussie, so don't mind me, but the advice at the end about entering on your Canadian passport seems like something that might be considered a crime that would cause further issues. You must enter Australia on your Australian passport if you have one, for example.

  • God I (as a disabled woman) am SO sick of seeing this take every time this conversation happens, like it's chill and okay to give us less rights.

  • It does for me, but I have auditory processing issues so your mileage may vary. Discord also just has a lot of issues, like audio sources messing up, or calls cutting completely for up to ten seconds for no discernible reason.

  • But even a standard voice server is better quality than a phone.

It really isn't in my experiences, but maybe it's different in Australia? As well, other services like Telegram or Signal have way better quality too. Discord just kinda sucks.

  • I mean yea, absolutely, but HD Voice can do 128kbps and comparatively that's better than Discord. The other person's comment seemed a bit snarky so I wanted to refute their assertion.
