  • There's some rumours going around that a Brewery might buy the Bendigo Hotel.

But which one, given that quite a few are going broke. Where are the tanks gonna go as well? Sacrifice the merch desk area, or beer garden.

  • Long term booker was sacked (there's reasons), but their replacement knew nothing about Metal. Hardly any gigs got booked since August last year, or if there is a gig, its was a shitty Destroy All Lines lineup.

Due to poor sales, the Bendi then tried to move away from metal. They also put on normie events like industry night and non-metal trivia nights. Metal merch on the walls was slowly disappearing as well.

This pissed off metal heads, as they felt they weren't welcome there anymore. The $17 dollar pints also added more insult to injury.

Meanwhile Old Bar and The Tote have fucking killer lineups, and way cheaper drinks. Way better to just go down the road.

  • Well it's sad to see the Bendigo Hotel closing, they have also done a lot to pee off the metal scene recently.

Things have been really sus there since the start of this year. Booking less metal, removing metal merch on the wall, and trying to change the vibe of the place.

Looks like the Ungrateful Dead fest also has to find a new venue as well.

  • It's going to be interesting to see how the City of Yarra will charge yank tanks extra.

You can take up multiple bays if your vehicle doesn't fit in one. So anyone getting a fine for not fitting in the space will just go to court and get it dismissed.

Charging different rates for different vehicles could also get parking classified as a tax, thanks to the EV case. Which local governments cannot do.

  • Laughing at this IPA report saying Victoria has the most expensive energy, with WA being the cheapest.

Don't they look at the stats. The cheapest wholesale electricity energy prices in the past two years has been in Victoria. Meanwhile WA is in a generation crisis. Coal cannot be provided to Bluewaters Power, and the gas plants there are having technical issues.

They even called NSW cheaper. Hence I'm guessing they never went to an energy comparison website, and compared state by state.

  • It's interesting going to CDS machines in different socio-economic areas.

In Brunswick I'm just straight in and out. Meanwhile in Geelong (Bell Post Hill), I have to wait for a few people to empty their caged trailers.

  • In Geelong there's a person that drives up a caged trailer full of cans to the reverse vending machines, and fills them up as soon as they open.

I'm guessing they saved cans up before the scheme started, and they would be caught out on this fraud when going to the bulk depots.
