  • Not the person you asked, but in my experience some people say “please” even if they don’t mean it—ie they’re not actually politely asking you, but telling you to do so in a pseudo-polite manner. They expect you to do it regardless. Similarly, “automatic thank yous” they aren’t actually grateful, they feel you were obligated to do the task and just know “thank you” should be said so it’s an afterthought.

Imagine someone handing you a bag of garbage and saying “take this to the garage thanks” all in one breath and walking away.

Fez 2 was announced as "one more thing" at the end of the June 2013 Horizon indie game press conference, held during the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo.[111] The project was canceled a month later following a Twitter argument between Fish and video game journalist Marcus Beer. In an episode of Beer's GameTrailers show Invisible Walls, the journalist criticized Fish's response to questions about Microsoft's Xbox One self-publishing policy change. Fish replied on Twitter with condemnation for the industry's negativity and, in a final tweet, announced both Fez 2's cancellation and his exit from the industry.[110] The news came as a surprise to the rest of his company,[112] which has not commented on upcoming projects other than ports since the sequel's cancellation.[113] Polygon listed Fish in their top 50 newsmakers of 2013 for the social power of his "caustic use of Twitter".

  • Love this update! Very excited for the jump comment button! And I love being able to return to the OG icon. All love and respect to the talented artists who made the newer ones, but the OG one feels “right”!

Where is the ideal place for feature suggestions? It would be nice to be able to press and hold a comment and get a pop-up view of the parent comment it’s replying to. Sometimes you get a comment with a lot of child comments, and by the time I’ve reached the fifth or sixth parent I have forgotten some of the parent comment context. 😆

  • Stevia tastes just awful to me. I wish I liked it.

  • And as you’re the one eating eat, that’s all that matters!

  • Well if your cat is going to be hit by a car, I suppose getting hit by a veterinarian who will repair your cat for free is choice.

  • Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to detail out this answer. I couldn’t have asked for more! I

  • It’s my understanding it’s not inherently sexual, is it? I mean I know that’s what we see a lot of online but I didn’t think they were all horny about it. So for some portion is just kinda like LARPing?

  • I did read the OP title as Ron wanting to back down so your clarification helped at least one person. :)

  • And what if he’s sentenced to jail for DC as well? Does her serve sentence in GA and then (if he’s still alive) get transported to a different prison? I suppose that depends on concurrent or consecutive sentencing or not?

Edit: and/or convicted in the other state trials as well. Like, if somehow justice prevails and he is convicted everywhere I’m just curious how that plays out or will probably require some negotiating.

  • They kinda remind me of a little Scotty dog face! 🥰

  • I agree, I liked the way Apollo did it. Was streamlined so whole chains wouldn’t be taken up by images but gave a good enough idea if I wanted to open it or not.

  • I truly don’t want to meet the person with the butthole than can withstand my bidet’s max stream. Mine has like 7+ dots to mark intensity and I can barely go to 2 and I feel like I’ll start striping skin anything higher. Idk maybe it’s for hairy butts?? If so then I understand, but that pressure on raw hole is scary.

  • And some baking isn’t a dry heat, like water baths for cheesecakes! 😆

  • However, before deleting an article, CNET reportedly maintains a local copy, sends the story to The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, and notifies any currently employed authors that might be affected at least 10 days in advance

From the article, CNET is archiving it on Wayback themselves.

  • Soaking rice is often recommended! Even overnight. I’m too lazy for that but I soak mine for 30-60 min before cooking.

  • I think some people have not had much interaction with young kids. Sometimes they only want to watch one. single. thing. over and over and over and over again.

  • Keyboard in the background is not flipped.

  • But also, how can a kindergartener choke an adult to the point they can't breathe? I'd think anyone who isn't elderly could throw a child that age.

I wondered this too, and my only (weak) hypothesis is the teacher was too afraid to hurt the child in return before they realized how serious it was going to get. But I’m also not sure how little 5 year old hands would have the strength, unless they used a rope or other tool.

Edit: the article does say the choked teacher is now retired, so they also could have been fairly old.
