Yes a car is definitely not something that increases in value siting on a shelf ( if you don't believe Musk). But they made the same car for years, so it is the same car as a few years ago? Does it matter if I get one from the shelf or one a year from now really?

There is nothing wrong with a logistical strategy of pushing products to market (without a demand). It's a reasonable way to be able to push the price down. And I believe that is what Tesla wants to do? Tesla is not supposed to be a luxury brand

I think so. As I understand it, Tesla have produced to order before. Every car off the line went directly to a customer.

Yes I am worried about microplastics in everyday things, for example drinking water from my tap. I am also worried about using plastics for anything food related that is heated up. As such i have removed all plastic containers in our kitchen that would be used near or with heat. Any containers remaining is only for cold foods and dry storage.

I still think these channels are very technical. Using jorgon that is completely foreign to someone just strictly using their computer to get work done. I am pretty deep into the different topics and even I had have to look up what they talk about.

I think you have found a nieche to fill. Problem is when you don't really deep dive the topics or it is strictly educational, you might get bored if you are a somewhat technical person, that is not a great recipe for a YouTube channel. You will probably also have to remake the videos as software gets updated.

Also most viewers är linux nerds. The average person don't spend all day at a computer at work just to go home and 'work' more by spending time watching a videos on how to work more. That means you should probably target companies and organizations directly with your content, that could be a hard sell if you expect to make an income.

With all that said, I like the idea and even if you only make a few videos you will probably learn alot, try it and see how you like it!

The company i work with allow any OS to be installed. With a caveat, because we are heavily invested in the Windows eco system using office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics Nav and sql server, Ms AD. With that said, if you use that software for more than 50% of your work time we recommend Windows. But otherwise it is still the employees choice and if you are completely comfortable running windows in a VM, go for it. IT won't give you endless support if you have too many issues with your VM. If we loose to much time and you are not proficient enough in macOS or Linux then we just give you a windows machine.

I can see it being an option for some people. If you print low volume but regularly every month. And you need a printer that always just works. The problem is the monthly limits! The base package is 20 pages per month, just printing out a pdf manual or something would eat that up in a minute. I would want unused prints to be added to next month.

Otherwise it is very similar to how it works for businesses having larger office printers.

No, you are right. But I do think most countries do use the same techniques, the problem is they can't give subsidies for up to 50% of the new car price. It is simply not sustainable. There are also not enough cars to go around even if they did and even if most people had enough money burning in their pocket for a new car, which they don't.

Probably the best bet right now. Both from a cost perspective and using resources better. One big battery in a single car vs 10 batteries in 10 PHEV. If we want to make a real impact right now the PHEV are a great choice and can reach more people. Then of course, the best is not drive any car at all, asvoften as possible. Taking public transport or walking/cycling is much better than than any BEV, imagine if every car owner would drive 10% less, that would make a huge impact. Much larger than building a fuck ton of BEVs from a sustainability standpoint.

I have not seen any official announcements but I think they have stopped offering it for a while. Except for some regions, i saw the xps 13 plus with Ubuntu at their German website a while ago.

I think the best case I hope for is that they are just waiting for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Yes completely agree. Especially the price, most people don't want to pay or can't afford a 45-50k usd car after subsidies. (This is the minimum pricepoint to get something comparable to an average gas car, both trim wise and to get an at least acceptable range)

And let's be honest about the subsidies, they just allow the car companies to charge a higher price in the first place.. I expect the price to be about the same after they are gone.

Taylor Swift is a business.Yes, in the future it could be higher. It depends on where the company is going. Artists get less popular over time and alot of assets would then necessitate scaling down, and be offloaded. If the person Taylor Swift decides she does not want to be associated with the business anymore it could lose alot, if she died probably the opposite would be true for a while. Yes a considerable amount of revenue would probably be coming in for the foreseeable future.

Tldr: Past performance is no guarantee of future results. A billion dollar company is already an amazing feat and it is impressive if Taylor can keep the ball rolling at that scale.
