The addons keep dying, the links keep breaking and the whole experience is overall pretty abysmal and unreliable.

When you refresh the feed, the hidden posts come back in both these apps.

I need a client that automatically marks as read as you scroll by. And it doesn't bring back the read threads every time you reopen or refresh the god damn app.

I'm aware of those services and in many cases they are paid and not free. . If a "client" has to host a "server" then the system most certainly is not "perfected" contrary to what OP said.

I think a large number of people grow up to be inconsiderate and just aren't educated with basic manners. I see people littering the street, playing loud music at night which may disturb others etc.

But if you speak of a "greater good" then the problem is a lot of people don't understand or just fail to agree upon what that means. I spoke to someone about my work with open source and free software and the person just said "oh, but that's just to make yourself look good", as if its some sort of check list that "look I'm charitable" and not an objectively better choice in most situations.

Question isn't about attacking in Ukraine, question is about defending Russia from Ukranian attacks. Hence it would be a defensive motivator when your family is about to be bombed by Ukraine in Russia vs you invading Ukraine.

Yeah, working for me just fine.

Boost for reddit is still working so I still go there. Many subs are fighting, including /r/noncredibledefense. There are a lot of subs going NSFW but reddit is forcing them to go back to being SFW. /r/NCD is genuinely NSFW at times so i'm not sure what will happen to them. Once Boost for Lemmy comes out, i'm hopping onto lemmy fulltime :)
